He's never deployed. Straight to Hon and remained there apart from AT jaunt in the blue stuff.

What is 'AT jaunt in the blue stuff'? For the civvies here.

Has the running man in the cctv footage been identified? If not it seems that this is what the focus is on as if they can identify him then they have a chance of identifying who was in the left hand side of the frame that moves into visibility as he runs by. It seems like this is the focus. It is very strange if this person has not been identified or come forward. It is a small town and I would imagine that most who live in or near and go out there of an evening would be aware that this person is being shown on cctv image in relation to this running by. If he has not been identified it is because he and those who are aware of his identity are not coming forward. I've been reading the fbook page and here but there is so much being said and not said it is hard to remember if his individual has been identified. It is glaring that he should have been by now and if not then this is definitely the purpose of the continued focus on him I believe. Does anyone else have any thoughts on my opinion?

I don't believe the "running man" has anything to do with Corries disappearance and I also believe that he wouldn't be able to give any decent information forward.

The "running man" ran straight through, didn't even bat an eyelid, never even LOOKED in the direction that Corrie may have still been. Unless he's an magic ninja I can safely say we can rule him out.

But, it's been a good time wasting exercise all the same...

I'll say it again just in case it's fallen on deaf ears....why the hell would someone send a photo image of themselves to someone (regardless who is the recipient) at 0308 in the morning....very strange IMHO.

I thought that what we were told was that the brother sent Corrie a photo that he then forwarded on to the friend. The simple explanation imo is that the photo arrived while he was snoozing in the doorway, he woke up, saw it had arrived and sent it onwards to the friend.

What is it that you think makes it strange? People are in constant contact with smartphones and ime younger people will reply to things as soon as they get them and in fact expect us older ones to also reply instantly. Young people of my aquaintance send repeat messages to me if I don't respond within seconds, very annoying to me as I like to reply when it suits me.

So "a bloody jolly" then !

A quick funny story. Met a USAF guy once. He deployed UK. When he got his papers he asked the Chief "where's Unkin ?" thinking it was somewhere way out in the Pacific.

The answer "United Kingdom...now sit down" came the reply !

I don't think he's been identified and to be honest I don't see why it's that pressing to single him out. Obviously he's closest to Corrie being in that horseshoe but if they were genuinely desperate to identify him why not post cctv online of this one person, or show cctv they inevitable have of his face? Corrie didn't walk out apparently and tony has said this person is not Corrie. Aside from potential witness this person didn't magic Corrie out of there.

Edited to add I'm thinking of four minute/lurking man

I have no opinion on running man to be honest

Holidaying on a sail training yacht. They call it development now.

I've never been on one.

We got a holiday in Kosovo instead and a week in Cyprus on the way back to check we'd all not gone mad...which we had.
They sent us home anyway....and then deployed to NI. You'll just love Op Banner they said !

Unless it was a hook up... that's the only explanation

According to the faqs on the website has the 3:08 text been looked into "YES, Corrie sent a picture message to a friend, it was part of an earlier conversation"
Totally normal imo to be having an ongoing whatsapp or text chat with friend or friends and send pics, they may be out and wanting to show a mate. Not to say it wasn't for a hookup but this is what young people do these days, if they're not taking pics of themselves they are sharing them and chatting about them. The younger the people the more the do it from my experience!

Completely agree. I don't see why it's so unusual. I get 'selfies' from friends on Snapchat at all hours. It's nearly midnight and I've just received a snapchat video of a friend singing in his car. It will continue all night. I can go to sleep at 11 and wake up at 7 to a Facebook group chat full of photos. People are awake at that time, they send photos. The only time I don't receive photos is through the day when they're all at work! I don't think it's strange at all. It's just how it is these days.

And it has been stated by his family that his brother sent him the photo and he sent it on. Presumably when he woke up, checked his phone and noticed he had received the photo.

I wake up a lot during the night, I'll look at my phone and check the time and if I've got a message, more often than not, I'll reply to it right then.

It's not like the 'olden days' when you dare not call someone's house phone after 9pm unless it was a life and death emergency ;) :)

A quick Google Image Search would call duff gen on that one.

I don't believe he necessarily has anything to do with his disappearance but even if I was running down a street I would be aware of someone was standing in front of me if even off to the side. Especially when the area is otherwise empty. Bearing in mind also that the cctv images are a lot more polar in terms of light and dark. Therefore, it is highly within the realms of possibility that the running man briefly saw the individual standing off to the left. Especially when he has been standing there for the length of the run up to the area. Whether you look directly at someone or not you are still peripherally aware. A result of this is that you can often remember more than you initially thought you were aware of. The timelines that are floating about seem to indicate that the running man runs by only a short time after Corrie has been seen going into the area on the right. Identify running man who may be able to identify the individual standing on the left and then you have in that individual the most likely person to have possibly seen Corrie after the last cctv footage of him.

It was a photo of Corrie and his brother. He didn't ask his brother for a photo of himself.

2012 last Ape deployment to the sandpit.
A quick google image search will confirm that.
I'm with MidSummer. Not deployed outside UK

Weak google image search skills. Not Afghan but somewhere on a c130 and one more click to find out where that was.

Let's face it folks, we have absolutely NO real facts since the first week.
All we have been given as fact is -
1. Corrie didn't return home.

We haven't been given a solid fact of anything. There's been 6 threads now with mild snippets of information which has mostly been changed or backtracked....

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?

Instead of looking at what we have been given, how about we look at what hasn't....

Running man almost certainly saw four minute man. From what I've read the itv footage has been clipped in some way. In the hub before you see running man in the top right hand corner you see four minute man leave the horseshoe and then as running man appears four minute man runs over to the edge and watches.

But what would identifying four minute man do? Even if a witness he can't really tell them a whole lot more than they could already work out from cctv except maybe narrow down a specific vehicle or amount of people Corrie was with if any.

Aye thang yooo.....
That confirms what I was thinking. CORRIE sent a picture message to a 'FRIEND'. IT was part of an earlier conversation. Now who was at the other end of that conversation? Was it Darroch? Was it a hook up? Was it a 'friend'?
This is my point. He's having an ongoing but broken dialogue with (insert relevant recipient). Who would he be having an ongoing dialogue with at 0308???!!!!!!

Exceptionally selective, zoomed and without doubt too short for mere mortals to make any headway. :/

Can't say I disagree with this. Granted, using Vimeo and Facebook to upload footage brings with it tonnes of compression but I could link to Youtube (also with lots of compression) videos of CCTV footage from much cheaper cameras with much higher quality.

Comments from those that have viewed the footage in person have said it is much better quality than what has been released to the public so can only assume it is a conscious decision by Police? But why?

They have also said there are close ups of those sought that are high quality so why not release them?

What is your thinking about how the Police are handling this? Do they have solid reasons for what it appears they are doing?
