Well isn't that interesting! Where would you expect to be picked up by any kind of camera assuming you'd drove that way towards bm?

Do you know if is there currently a tenant in that property, either at the pub level or above?
At ground level and first floor level, this is still a pub now called The Snug. The entrance is off St Johns Street, but I have no idea where the back entrance leads.

Not if the crime was victimless. A car crashes with Corrie at the wheel or as a passenger, substances in the vehicle, embarrassing sexual revelations, dismissal from service... He runs until his injuries are healed but can't now return because of the media noise.

My first post so appologise if I do this incorrectly. If he did run where would he run to as this wouldnt have been planned in advance?

Well I would still like to be told 'officially' (by a Police statement) that it is not possible to exit that bin area without being seen on CCTV.

From your map MidsummersDay (thanks) there is very little CCTV towards the eastern or north eastern side of the town, though I appreciate this only shows council operated CCTV.

If Corrie went thataway then he is really off the radar imo.

Let's hope for a family update soon.
parallel to the bin lorry route? And does that route pass or end up at any mq residence areas perchance?

OR a vehicle could have driven LEGALLY down Looms Lane, turning left at the T Junction into Northgate Street which comes out at the same roundabout to join up with the red route. Checking your CCTV map, I don't believe there are any cameras on that route either?

Look at this image i've created:

Blue: CCTV cameras.
Orange: Normal and legal route out of Shortbrackland.
Green: Corrie's last known positions (0308 & 0324).
Red: Normal and illegal 'one way' route out of Shortbrackland.

..and look where the red roads go to...straight to the A1101... which goes towards the BM mast!

Ladies and gentlemen, we may be on to something!

On the last truncated thread we had lots of discussion about all the calls on that friday and especially the final 0308 text so could we sum up perhaps about whether we think whoever that was sent to is the person who he eventually leaves with or not?

....now there's a surprise! (He said, sarcastically).

Just when I think we've gone over and over and over the same stuff I come back on and I'm surprised.

If this were the case why then disappear off the face of the earth?

Could have been a prearranged signal to say 'this is me, I need collecting'. The double image could explain it I suppose. I don't subscribe to that just yet. I think the decision may have been made on the hoof and in the car when he realised he'd been compromised with a drunk driver perhaps?

I assumed they knew about the contents of the message because they got it from the person it was sent to, so I would say no going on that. If that were the case the family would know about it. That's my opinion of course.

Is the door left open as it is on the google maps photo (as this was taken in 2015) or is it more secure now please?
no its not locked at all..It has a catch that a padlock goes through but there wasn't one on it, I took some photos which I will upload

We have no way of knowing until either the phone and/or Corrie turns up.
Lets all just take a step back a moment. Take a deep breath at what I'm proposing here. ITS MY SPECULATIVE ASSESSMENT OF THE FACTS. I could be wrong. With the other options still on the table I hope I'm right to be honest.
Deep breath. Look at all the information we have so far. Then stitch it all together chronologically...think before posting.

I was under the impression that there was photo image communication between Corrie and Darroch?
Could it have been a photo of Corrie and Darroch sent to the driver as a signal? Again, I'm not buying that at the moment. Too elaborate, too much to lose, family background, reputation etc. I think it's a very, very late decision followed by a realisation of what's happened and an unintentional absence thereafter to evade the penalties.

I might be showing my age but I really can't see anyone arranging a hook up, drunk, full of food and really fancying it after a couple of hours sleep in a doorway, he surely just wanted to get home. On a side note the weather was pretty pleasant that weekend 19 degs on the Friday and 23 degs on the Saturday so its unlikely he was particularly cold that evening.
Or second wind, full belly , awake after a sleep perhaps a thought of why not, see whats happening. Not unheard of to visit a 'friend' to continue the 'party'.

We have no evidence of any crime happened whatsoever, so we're left with a missing person, maybe he planned his disserperence and he knew that was going to be his last night out in bse. More like awol from life not so much his job inperticuer,

Midsummersday, can you just clarify in one post- 6 pages is a lot to plough through after a long day at work. You have your suspicions and your doubts, but I am struggling to follow it.

Out of interest, I visited the Police Pod last week and was very disappointed with the clarity of the CCTV. There were only 6 seats with 3 rows of 2 and the front 4 seats watched the footage on the big screen, while the back 2 watched on a laptop.
The footage was numbered but in random order which made it difficult to identify times, location together with scrutinising blurred figures.
At the end, somebody had asked to look at the footage again of a couple of people which he thought he recognised. I waited and watched but was surprised to see that it was so much clearer on the laptop! On the big screen, all I saw were 2 blurred figures while you could actually see what the individuals were wearing on the laptop! I was so disappointed.
Anyway, I asked the Police Officer present to confirm which clip showed the 4 minute man and she confirmed that they had NOT shown this footage.

Succinctly:
Everything so far (more so that the other six threads) adds up.

My doubts are (and they're lessening rapidly to be honest) that, he never had a desire or EVER did have a desire to go AWOL until he was forced into it through a set of circumstances.
I hear what Scorpio is saying but absent from the Mob is the same as absent from life. Only a military type would understand that sentiment.
