"He said: “Corrie is my friend. He came in here maybe every two weeks for food when he was out. He usually came in with an American guy from the base."
No that's the take away , I'm talking about the American friend in the last few posts saying he had American friend at base honington , do we have any proof of this, forget the take away this is ment to be another guy,

Temporary Superintendent Kim Warner said; “We would like to thank all those who have spoken to us and assisted with the enquiry to date, however we still need anyone who can help to come forward. If you were out in the Bury, Honington or Barton Mills area between Friday night and Saturday and saw Corrie we need to speak to you. He was wearing distinctive light clothing – a pink polo shirt and white jeans or trousers – and was friendly and engaging with a number of people during the course of the evening. While we’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen him after 3.20am on Saturday 24 we also need to talk to you if you saw him during the evening.Quoted from Suffolk police page - who was he friendly and engaging with? Homeless man- hmmm not sure that would be described as friendly and engaging, only other person is american in take away- that doesn't add up to a number of people.

This is the other guy. He normally went into the takeaway with an American friend. Not the bloke he met in the takeaway.

Perhaps completely irrelevant but did anyone else know Corrie disappeared 8 days after his birthday?

  • #525
There isn’t 100% CCTV coverage in the area and officers are continuing to go through hundreds of hours of footage to try to piece together what may have happened to Corrie, to see if there are any further images of him in Bury St Edmunds.
Again from the Suffolk police corrie page. Yet we are caught between a rock and a hard place. These are the facts from the police, yet we can not disagree with the family for fear of disrespecting them.

so we have one American guy in the takeaway with a girl that get a taxi back to mildenhal , then corrie has another American friend at honington that we don't know much about, think that has made confusion,

My question is: Be sure of what? Basically I'm just saying right now this person is just a possible witness and not someone believed to have committed any crime. Yet the Police haven't even publicly acknowledged this person exists and even for the locals that visited the pod it all seems sketchy.

The Police have so far appealed for:

Teenagers: came forward/traced. No CCTV required
T-shirt man from Mama Mia's: came forward/traced. No CCTV required
Running man and group of three: CCTV shown and quickly came forward/traced

4 minute man....Who!? (at least from a Police perspective as far as I've seen)

It makes zero sense. Now we learn from Polo that a Police officer has said it isn't clear where 4 minute man came from which is different from the family stating he is on CCTV coming from the horseshoe area. Work that out!

If this 4 minute man is the closest person in time and distance from where Corrie is last seen wouldn't it be most logical to appeal for this man first and foremost?

When/if the Police ever talk then maybe it will all make sense......
The police have made numerous statements, but they are being disregarded over opinion from family. Have a look at the Suffolk police page (admittedly they are quiet at the moment, but they released numerous updates)

Truth, the police have asked for people to come forward. I don't think the law requires them to come forward. If they*are suspected of a crime they could be arrested. When I said "they have to be sure before they pull anyone" I meant that the police could only arrest people if they had a reasonable suspicion a crime had taken place. That's how I understand it anyway. So if the people don't come forward voluntarily (and they may have their own reasons) and nobody recognises them, the police could reach a dead end eventually in their line of enquiry.

I think we're misunderstanding each other here!:D

I don't dispute what you say but AFAIK there are no laws stopping the Police showing the CCTV of 4 minute man or even mentioning him for that matter. To put my thoughts as simply as possible:

Police have CCTV of 4 minute man. The impression *I* get is they are doing everything in their power to not release it so far.

Yet....

They have had no problem releasing running man and group of three CCTV. I just ask why? What is special about this person?

It's all completely frustrating!

If no crime then dead end, as I said before what ever hapend that night could not be randem, he vanished with out a trace , no DNA no noting, eather very well planed or with professional help , they must have known what they were doing, I'm still going down the AWOL line with a bit of cover up to go along with it as I've no evidence to say any different !!

so according to Sulsar, they've searched all along the route the phone took? including thetford forest? where is that route in relation to Needham chalks? DanceCard

http://www.sulsar.org.uk/news/
Needham is the complete opposite direction.
I think the OP was referring to Cavenham Quarry which is not far away from Barton Mills.

Sulsar haven't searched all of Thetford Forest...its near on 50,000 acres.

Honington is a Camp.. Mildenhall and Lakenheath are Bases.

I am certain people are confusing the two.

We Locals Never refer to Honington as a' Base'..

Yes I remember reading that somewhere and putting that together with the takeaway guy comment that he went there every couple of weeks I wondered if this was the first chance he had to celebrate it and maybe he had been on duty the weekend of his birthday? Could also explain the drinking in his car while on phone to his brother if it was a birthday drink.
