So also that they should take anything that's coming off the internet with a pinch of salt too. It's the freaking internet, for a start.

Bumping to welcome new members to the forum and to add that Websleuths is a fact based forum.

Please don't speculate on rumors. That's not how we roll here.

Certainly you can post your theories based on what has been reported in MSM but check yourself before you post. Rumors can be hurtful and please consider if you had a family member missing how would you feel?

Please take a moment to review WS Rules Etiquette & Information

Thank you and carry on.

and another bump :)

Back to Flex nightclub, if you Google Flex nightclub Bury St Edmunds licence this comes up. https://democracy.westsuffolk.gov.uk/mgAi.aspx?ID=2527 there's another pdf document which gives a police report into licencing restrictions, bouncers etc. looks like they have to be pretty strict otherwise their licence is at risk

TBF this isn't new information, I think the original posts were deleted but I'm sure Mel posted this quite a while back although it's never been publically confirmed
Understand but if the police have not been advised of this by Mel when it originally appeared then Mel and Polo should go to the police together now and tell them. Its relevant.

There's also a section on the type of quarters for each rank, many ranks are given a single bedroom with en suite. I think that might be what Corrie is in?
Corrie is an SAC so in a standard Airmans block - these used to be single man rooms with a sink but you had communal toilets/showers/bathroom and kitchen area. I would be very suprised to find out that these blocks had been remodelled to include ensuites for each room. Ensuites etc were standard in Sgts and Officers messes.

I'm now thinking that he initially thought he was going to a party - hence the booze in the car and his late start knowing the dog would be alone most of the night. However, the party got cancelled I read somewhere that it would have been at the American married couple's house, which would have been in walking distance from town and why he had booze in the car, a few drinks in town, pick up booze from car and head to party. Sooo, with party cancelled and his night curtailed after being kicked out, he needed to make new arrangements to get back to base which is what he was trying to do. As I've posted before the weather was mild, 19 degs leading into a 23 deg Saturday, so sitting outside a while wouldn't have been too cold. He might not have had an arranged pick up from the Horse Shoe area as we now know he hadn't been picked up from there before but heard that some other guys were going back that way from there but weren't there when he got there.

I think in light of the 'new changes' to how information is being put out by the family we could do with a rule change, Yes a certain group off limits but if the family are putting out important & key information to that group directly, then us not being able to discuss those updates surely prevents us from doing what websleuths is designed to do? we need to be able to draw directly from the latest information available to progress & hopefully help as most of us do want to do in the same way the official group does but perhaps not get too carried away with theories that have no clear relevance to what is known or understood?

That's what I was thinking Miss terious, I said something similar earlier in the thread. I think the alcohol was pre bought for the party.

Before continuing, please take some time to review The Rules Forum.
In particular, the Social Media Thread and the Etiquette & Information Thread.

It is each member's responsibility to become familiar with and post in accordance of Websleuths' Rules and Terms of Service.

PLEASE NOTE:

Corrie's personal Facebook account is set to private. If you have access to it or get in a back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

The tax status of Corrie's car is irrelevant and off limits.

If you state something as fact, you must provide a link to an approved source (LE/MSM) to back it up. If you can't link it, you can't post it.

If you have a concern about a post or see a post in violation of Websleuths' Rules or TOS, please hit the alert button to report it. Do not quote or reply to the post. If a moderator removes the post, replies are subject to removal as well.

And lastly, please remember that Corrie's family members are victims. Their worlds have been turned upside down and they are desperate to find their loved one. The last thing we want to do is add to their pain. Criticizing them or any aspect of their updates will not be tolerated, and sleuthing their personal social media accounts is strictly against the rules.

Please post respectfully and responsibly.

Thanks :loser:

You're right it would be very suspicious indeed if the person who got the lift hadn't come forward to the Police already

I worry that things are being stated as fact by people that aren't true and others will believe them because they sound so sure. I don't know about England, but in Scotland you are allowed to not have your address etc published on electoral role websites and you have a right to protect your privacy.

This is for families accommodation (the link is specific to Cyprus) not barrack blocks on camp. I would be suprised to find single airman are allowed pets in their blocks.

Someone posted here recently who also said pets weren't allowed, can't remember who sorry, which doesn't say much for the authorities in charge if they hadn't realised that a dog was living there, what else was going on that they were unaware of I wonder?

You can opt out of that in England too but there are so many other public sources of information I'm not sure if you can keeo your address totally private

Hello, long term lurker joining in. I think I have followed every single post on here from the start. Many a late night catching up. There are a couple of members thoughts that fall very in line with my thinking. The wait.. After the turning down of a lift in mama Mia's I'm as close to convinced as I can be that there was a wait for a lift. I don't really buy into the on to the next party thought as at that time of the morning the 'collector' would have to be planning on being reasonably sober or at least sober enough to operate a vehicle. Who would want to turn up to a party likely in full swing and have that much catching up to do. I don't buy into that. I could go on for a long time about my thoughts but I'm just going to respond to each conversation as it crops up from now on.

Hypothetical Scenario One
Corrie gets left behind by his mates at the base so has to make his own way in to Bury. Sits swigging from a bottle in his car to drown his sorrows a bit, lets off steam to his brother on the phone. Gets kicked out of Flex for being a bit aggressive.

Hypothetical Scenario Two
Corrie gives a friend a lift to Bury. Friend gets out of the car. Corrie talks to his brother on the phone because his brother needs a chat. Sits drinking whilst on the phone to play catch up. Gets kicked out of Flex for cheekily trying to smuggle his bottle in with him, giving the bouncers lip or whatever.

These scenarios could show Corrie in very different frames of mind.

So without knowing detail like: why he didn't get a lift with his mates, whether there was someone in the car with him on the way into Bury, what he and his brother talked about on the phone, why he got kicked out of Flex etc, it is just impossible to guage his general mood earlier that night, and the effect his mood would have had on subsequent actions and choices he made later that night.

Which is why the revelation that he may have given a friend a lift into Bury is important to my mind!

Yes hoping to avoid a further shut down!

The thing I find interesting is that none of his colleagues/mates have said, 'Corrie was going to get a lift back with xyz' if indeed this was a pre planned lift for a party or whatever why he wouldn't have suggested to them from the outset, after the club I'm doing xyz. That tells me three things either 1) he was planning to do something he didn't want everyone to know about, 2) the lift was arranged via an app later on 3) there was no lift just an unfortunate wrong place wrong time.

If he's like most of the lads I know, they just make it up as the night goes on. not much planning goes on.
