A map based on the public info about cctv system, what we've seen in cctv footage with regards to coverage by the the cameras. Note, we know nothing about "st john's" cam and what it might have in regards to the vehicles that left Shjort Brackland. The route shown is about the only way they can legally go, and keep in mind, they could even go all the way to the "st john's" t-junction - meaning that camera is PRIME for a number plate recognition. However, if they turned off JUST prior to the st-john's t-junction camera (as shown on my route) then number plate is going to be harder I'm sure. And yes there are no main CCTV cameras near the major roundabout or the dual carriageway roundabout....but at least that road to the left has 3...being all useful and stuff... :scared:

If it's now believed that it's someone he knew, then I hope the police have discovered what (if any) arrangements Corrie had made to get to his car back from BSE next day. If he was picked up by someone he already knew, and it was already pre-arranged then that person could well have information about how he was picking up his car on Saturday. And know where he was after 3.24am.

I'm grasping at straws now but as anyone looked up about body language (don't laugh) I have with hands in pockets can mean Bordem, cold and if heads down and shoulders little hunched and brought down means insecurities. Folding arms means defensive shield and a feeling of being vunerable.

Is the folding arms in reference to Corrie's brother as Wim has mentioned him 'having folded arms again'.
On another note, I don't understand why people here would think the family would lie by saying it's been proven by police and the military that nobody could leave the Horseshoe on foot without being seen by one of the cameras. Why would they lie about the police and military, and if they were surely the police and military would want that corrected. The retired detective has also said it would be virtually impossible (or words to that effect, please google or ask someone to put link up if you want to see exact words used as I saw the news clip ages ago). It's pretty obvious to me from everything being said by official statements and the police investigation that Corrie left that area in a vehicle.... and the police probably know exactly which one too.

Well isn't that helpful. Have to wonder who decides on cctv placement

I think it could go either way. I do it when I'm meeting anybody, but more so someone I do know as I don't want to shout over a distance and I don't want to stare. With unknown people they won't necessarily know it's you until you say hello etc

It sounds a little silly and maybe it's a social anxiety thing and not everyone does it! But I know I don't walk towards someone I'm meeting and stare as I'm walking, I try to look elsewhere or look about, or look down. Mostly I try to be there before the other person haha
If he's meeting someone he knows and he's slept thru one rendevous he could also look a bit embarassed too I guess.

I can't speak for other posters but I have never said that I believe the family is lying about this.
I've said that in order for me to be convinced by it, I need to hear direct police confirmation that the police are also 100% certain that Corrie couldn't have got away on foot.
Mistakes can be made with CCTV, and no technology is infallible. I believe that the family is convinced about their CCTV theory, I'm not. That does not mean I've said they're lying.

The retired detective said the landfill had been searched, btw. It hasn't. Or so we've been told.

Dcflag, absolutely! It's basically a 400,000 CCTV system designed to protect corporate interests ;)

Corrie only had to walk 20 metres to be outside of that area of corporate interest protection. Short Brackland is literally the invisible berlin wall of Bury between the commercial side and the residential. At least, that's how it seems to play out on CCTV.

But, that's not to say people in residential areas want CCTV systems in their neighbourhood, privacy and all that. I can understand why there wouldn't be anything more than private CCTV covering residential areas. But in this case it's the sad fact. I guess we're lucky Corrie was in the commercial district at all.

My only issue with that, and that's not saying it isn't possible because it is, is that it would leave the wife to also know Corrie has gone missing. It would mean she would have to keep quiet. Dangerously she would be more implicated if she was driving a vehicle that picked him up, so it would be in her best interests to report it.

Not necessarily. I have seen all sorts. I don't want to give to much away about myself and my position as this is not about me. But It would not surprise me in the slightest if people weren't honest about the events of that night. People will do anything to protect themselves and their family and careers. Simple as that.

Yep. I'm joint Data Controller at work for our CCTV and other stuff subject to DPA.
The CCTV system was extremely expensive - it exists purely to protect corporate interest!

I wonder if corries father and grandparents have recently been told of news by police that have lead them to put up reward money? Their references to raf marham and aldershot suggest they're thinking he left unwillingly but they also say they felt he was waiting for someone/arranged to meet someone (I'd have to rewatch to get exact quote)

I'm thinking that something has changed recently. Nicola's demeanour on Forces TV, although I don't know for sure when it was recorded, was different to how she's appeared in previous intervies. I do think there's been something come up in the investigation. I also wondered if that was part of the reason why the most recent family update seemed to be delayed for longer than they'd originally planned.

There might be a good reason its all being done through forces tv. Because whoever knows something is in the forces...

I felt like the most recent family update was a little more positive, but in hindsight maybe the positive vibe for me comes from the more definitive plan of action perhaps brought about by new information. If this is the case wouldn't that mean before long the investigation will change to homicide without a body?

My feelings exactly! I raised this yesterday on here as I don't believe a small town like BSE would have 24/7 CCTV coverage on every street. Nobody can vanish into thin air, far more likely to have been missed or evaded the CCTV!

I don't think anyone on here has said that they thought that the family was lying - infact, a few posts back I personally stated that I trust in what Nicola says.

Quite simply, to fool the "person who knows something" into thinking they have been seen on CCTV regardless. A sort of "the net is closing on you" approach. It's a TW tactic IMO, not supported by the police, who repeated several times that the area is "not 100% covered". And we also know it isn't, because they've provided us with enough to be able to determine that for ourselves. So it's admirable to say it in an attempt to get some truth from a little white lie, it's just that statement doesn't really fly here, certainly not with me. I've studied the CCTV stuff well enough now to know the police "it's not 100% covered" is the official (and factual) stance. TW's is purely a statement, it was never confirmed or denied by anyone other than him.

We need the phone. TW knows it and that's why he himself has criticized the police who decided not to search landfill for it (though they certainly looked for it along with their other searches I'm sure). The phone is the black-box in this case. TW is probably fighting behind the scenes to get the police to get data from Tinder or Grindr or whatnot but the police probably struggle or can't do that (we've seen how long it takes them to send 1 officer down to open the POD), therefore the only other blackbox in this instance is the "someone knows something" person's phone. And they could be anyone, in a sea of people, with no trace or link to Corrie other than a few app messages among a billion other app messages on a server somewhere.

For all you know, we know, or I know, you (or I) could be the person who gave corrie a lift away from Horseshoe. Checking out we haven't caught onto you yet....!! (or me. But it wasn't me I assure you!) My point is, if what happened happened because it was arranged through an app or online thing... it's going to need to go to a deeper data collection level and so far we've not been told a THING on that front.

EDIT. Oh and I noticed someone has been taking notice and did a pretty good Wiki of this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Corrie_McKeague

Though it does mention a couple of things I hadn't read here, one that it says Corrie has never actually ever walked back from BSE to Honnington (though that part is uncited) and the other bit that's vague about the doorway (we know it was Hughes Electrical from roughly 1.30-3am? but that isn't mentioned).

Anyhoo... number 1 priority is that the phone must be found. If the police have given up on it maybe it's our turn to try and find it. There's nothing to suggest it ever went in a bin necessarily, and it's a probable certainty that it never entered water either as it continued to operate til 8am (and apparently didn't move after it's arrival into the mast radius at around 4.30am). By that point it probably died of pure battery exhaustion, considering its use over the night and last charge time prior to that (and then being exposed to the elements, perhaps). Of course, it could have since been found and "moved on" by the people involved. But I'm fairly confident members of the public would hand it in if they had came across it and that the police would make a statement they had found it if they were to do so.

I think this is why the rest the rest of the cctv after Corrie entered the horseshoe hasn't been released. The constant 'you cannot leave without been seen' is probably like said an attempt to make the third party think they have been seen even if they haven't (hence the police not 100% bit to cover their arses)
i also can't let go of the number 7 cctv footage bull that the police put it in by accident I reckon that was there in the hope someone involved went to the pod viewed it and thought **** I must have been seen (even though they may not or were but can't be identified) and contact the police
if this was an attack or even an accident involving a third person bet my money they are watching theplace that can't be named like a hawk.

I'm sure someone will have the source, I believe Nicola revised her statement about walking home to mean she knew he had walked home from nights out in Scotland
