I have to admit I've done the same thing at 0400 tanked up. It was only for the fact that it was a clear sky that I was able to find somewhere off the main A road, sit down, remove my shoe lace, hold it up to the North Star and take a bearing to the horizon that I knew for definite I was heading in the wrong direction. This was three miles into the journey the wrong way....so another three miles back PLUS a fair few miles on top back to base. Suffice to say the sun was well and truly up by the time I hit the main gate.

Shoelace? Some sort of plumbline?

I'm not sure why James has got confused about the photo being taken in the car, there's never been any suggestion about that. There was initially confusion about whether the photo was sent to Darroch (no idea why they would have allowed that misinformation to get out) but it's been clear for a while that Corrie sent the photo of himself and 1 friend to a different friend.

I honestly think the whole photo business is a total wild goose chase
Well I'm sure james will answer for himself. It is important because nicola has confirmed it is the last time the phone was used so could be the last ever communication from her son.

I guess James will clarify. This 3.08 communication is important because nicola has confirmed it is the last time corrie used his phone.

Sorry I thought the first reply had got lost so I sent another.

Welcome and thanks for your posts by the way jean-claud I forgot to say. I'm constantly getting chucked off mid reply - those darned telecoms.

I thik it's the last time he sent a message but I don't think that necessarily means he didn't use the phone after that. It's been suggested that the time between 3.08 and 3.24 might have been spent by Corrie in the doorway catching up on his social media and as a theory that makes sense to me.

What I mean about the photo not being important is purely that whatever was depicted in the photo IMO is irrelevant to what happened later

Am I the only one laughing at the fact that you were too drunk to walk in the correct direction but apparently sober enough to navigate by way of a shoelace

I'm just wondering where the shoelace came in.

BBM - this isn't correct and is why people are still talking about the phone. There are many messaging and other apps for which data is not held by the service provider. Having the phone in the early days might have yielded this info password protection permitting, I very much doubt they'd get much after all this time.

Exactly and I think it has to be accepted that phone will not be recovered at this late stage in the process. No point in crying over spilt milk IMO

I think it's on the website where it is confirmed it is the last time the phone is used by I will check and edit this post. I think both the content and who it went to may end up being important, noone knows ATM IMO.
Edit. It is under the "timeline" on the website and it is emphasized this is the last time he uses the phone.

Unless it was used as some form of message to somebody he may have arranged to meet?

That's why I think it may be relevant.

As I said before. Information from the people who had the last conversations with Corrie may hold key information JMO

This is possible but why would they need to talk in code? Why fabricate a whole storyline about friends and photos, that would mean that Darroch, the friend who asked for the photo and the friend who received the photo would all be party to something to hoodwink the public. Most of the time things are exactly as they appear to be and IMO this is one of those times.

I don't think anyone is suggesting anything ATM.

If and when corrie is found the phone may very well still be in his pocket so I cannot see how you can possibly state this.

stranger things have been known to happen, still a possibility IMO

Who knows Suzy? If Corrie had planned to disappear, then it's unlikely he would send normal messages to that effect and have his cover blown?

I realise I keep throwing curve ball comments in the mix here but in my opinion they may be important, if only to stimulate a different thought process.
We've practically accepted that Corrie left in a vehicle (probably a car?) but we seem to be still split on the idea that he travelled with his phone towards BM mast area. We've also considered that there must be a connection between him, the driver who gave him a lift and the Barton Mills/Mildenhall area. What if this wasn't the case? What if Corrie had just called in a favour that evening by text or other means for a lift from someone he knew and was in his contacts list AND worked/lived in BSE? It may explain an exact 0330? I'm fairly certain that he made the contact prior to getting his food although I have no evidence. It's a very strong gut instinct for me.

The scenario would be thus:
0324: Corrie seen on CCTV in 'Horseshoe' area.
0330: Driver finishes work in BSE.
0345+ Driver manages to finally get away from work after her/his duties (bottling, clearing up, cashing up for instance etc).
0400: Driver drives to 'Horseshoe' area via Shortbrackland and collects Corrie. Driver stops off at a late night outlet to grab a sandwich and Corrie reclines the car seat to sleep. He's missed all the way from The 'Horseshoe' to the outlet and because of the reclined seat.
0430: Vehicle (car?) finally leaves BSE mast area and heads for BM/Mildenhall.
0458: Vehicle enters BM mast area.
0510: Driver drops Corrie at his destination and he (fill in the blank).
0515: Driver returns to BSE to their own house.

Granted, this driver should have come forward in this scenario but so should all the others if we're being honest :/.

Thoughts?

The 0400 is not necessarily important but the 'getting away from work' and their travel time is. If you add th
