Adding a bit more onto the lift with the bin lorry theory and the grindr/tinder theory...binman driving the lorry was the hook up? Many reasons there to not come forward...breaking job rules, secret rendezvous in work time, using a work vehicle for said rendezvous, maybe married or has a partner.

done that with hubby, straight off, he's walked into something he shouldn't have and he's 'brown bread'

...in the dangerous gangland ghetto of Bury St Edmunds.

I don't think he'd have gone in a general waste bin as you would think it would be unusually heavy. I would have thought that the Police would have covered this anyway as presumably these bins are also weighed?

Plus he'd have been in there till after the weekend and I'm sure they'd be used. I think it would be hard going to completely conceal a person, especially a 200lb person in a bin

Then I'm stumped. If every other possibility is discounted what happened to him? Just an aside but these bins have a safe lifting weight of 440KG.

Dcflag, you say it would have been after the weekend before they were emptied. Do you have a source for that?

In thee last thread someone posted proof that Tinder and Grindr will both submit records to police under the terms of a search warrant. If this hasn't been checked I'll be surprised. Despite some glaring errors in the investigation I hope they've at least covered the basics. Can we get them under FoA like we can in US?

It's just freaked me out a bit. When a case catches her eye (like the McCann case) she pours over all the court documents and police reports, she's not seen much of Corrie, she doesn't follow it. Took me by surprise as I'd expect most people to assume he's been kidnapped and murdered or accidentally come to harm walking home but she said she absolutely bets he's done a runner. Strange really.

Sometimes when you're so involved you get bogged down in the finer details. I'd say everyone on here ask someone who has limited case knowledge. Give them the facts and ask their opinion. It was so interesting.

Maybe with this lack of evidence they should look at the 'what if he went Awol' route.
If so, the chances are that he would have got changed. Maybe if planned, he went out in clothing that stood out? Go into the horseshoe wearing pink and white and come out wearing black? So now, maybe all of the 10 or 12 should be looked at to see where they did go, especially those closest to the time that Corrie entered the horseshoe?

I'd hope so...but who knows with this case! It gets more mysterious by the day!

That was one of my initial theories, especially as it appears he collected from one bin only in Bury? I have always thought that is very odd!

Nothing I can link so no. I believe biffa stated their collections were Monday and Wednesday but I can't think where I got that from!

I certainly feel that if it's true the vehicles are all discounted then he walked out of the area on foot. I'm not sure I buy the 100% covered by cctv statement. He could have picked up a lift on short brackland and completely evaded cctv. He could have hitch hiked or walked to a different meeting point giving the phone an average speed of 12mph from the walking at 3-4mph and driving say 50mph. Would also explain the extra time spent assumingly in bury before the phone pings.

Ive done this this evening after your post and my partner thinks AWOL with a secret lover. She has a little knowledge because of me talking about it and she follows the find Corrie site, but she definitely doesn't know all the detail we read about and analyse on here.

She also said everyone's getting too hung up on the "he left in a car because he isn't seen on cctv nonsense" and that it was more than likely someone who lives close by who he was meeting when they finished work and it's just a coincidence he's not seen on cctv because he didn't walk back in to the town he walked in to the residential area. She also thinks he intentionally dumped his phone.

I didn't know it was only 1 bin...yes that is very odd. Total waste of time, wages, petrol and effort for that!

Is it normal for there to be one delivery driver?

Could be the reason for going in the horseshoe to specifically dump his phone.

Y
Most of the people I have spoken to are of the same opinion, and to me it is looking the most likely.

Or Grindr meet up went a bit sour, he threatened to tell everyone Corrie is gay and he's gone AWOL spur of the minute? Bit extreme to disappear rather than your family and friends finding out your sexual preferences... but anything's possible in this case!

Can't believe that is true. Only collected one bin in Bury and one more in Mildenhall then to the recycling centre...If it is true then I agree it is well dodgy.

I remember reading some people ringing Biffa and asking but my impression is they were getting residential information not businesses. Also, has it been officially stated Biffa collected that bin? Because I get the same feeling about this as the whole landfill/recycling centre debacle....

Isn't it awful that the crowd funding page won't allow £1.99 donations.... the minimum donation is £2...... I was always taught that every penny makes a pound....

If....just for possibility that bin lorry queries may be answered.....PLEASE someone toddle into BSE in the early hours to do some surveillance sleuthing! :websleuther:

I would agree with that and if you look at the map of the CCTV locations in BSE (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/319850/response/802518/attach/5/Bury%20St%20Edmunds.pdf) you can see that there many different possible routes one can take in and around or out of the town without being caught on CCTV. I'm not sure how reliable or up to date this map is but the idea that every inch of a small Suffolk market town is monitored by CCTV is crazy.

I think he walked into the horse shoe to wait for a pick up/sex date and they walked out of there together to a place in BSE and he ended up being a victim... likely ended up being chopped up and disposed of in drains etc
