Perverting the course of justice - these are just some ideas - faking a note written by Helen, using her bank account, faking an appeal for her return? I'm a bit dusty now, was her purse missing?

Didnt he claim it was and it then turned up during the police search....although, I seem to remember, there was some debate because she would have had more than one purse certainly.

Thinking about the case last night and it occured to me that IS probably never even drove down to the cottage in Broadstairs.

If I remember rightly, he reported Helen as missing in the late afternoon of Friday April 15, after he, allegedly, returned from making a round trip to the cottage on that day. But, in reality, he didnt need to go there.

Also, from the local newspaper reports in Broadstairs, none of the neighbours they spoke with made any comment about him being there, looking for Helen and they surely would have mentioned this, being as a normal worried person would have checked with neighbours as well as searching the cottage..

Good to see so much press coverage. I wonder if either Milly or Michelle have gone today - sounds like it will be a busy courtroom.

Just copying up one line from the statement made by Helen's family, after the discovery of her and Boris. Says it all for me.

“In life, Helen was a very just person and we know that she would now wish, like us, for justice to be done.

The case is called and defendant appears

The case has been called on now and all seats in the public gallery are now full. Stewart is now sat in the dock, wearing glasses, a dark coloured jumper and a blue top underneath. The trial is now expected to last seven weeks - the counsel have just told the judge. Jurors will now be chosen and sworn.

Every seat filled - I am pleased ( if that is the right word ) for so much interest.
