If this is the state we`re all in, can you imagine IS right now?
His head must be all over the place

No way! You're joking! That never occurred to me in any way.

What a pair of cuties. Nothing and no one sleeps more blissfully than a cat!

Badhorsie - you have a 20 year old cat? Amazing, what an achievement! Loving our pet parade this afternoon, a fitting diversion that I'm sure animal-loving Helen would have enjoyed.

I've just realised I can watch Sky News live on their website so have it on in the background, they seem to be on top of the IS trial today - BBC News made no mention of it that I saw. Kay Burley's voice is like nails down a blackboard but you can't have everything! I'm hoping the Jury may appear at any moment... surely there can be no doubt he is guilty of murder? If they are arguing, it must be on the fraud surely (though that seems cut and dried to me too).

I have to admit I really didn't think it would take this long :gaah:

The longer it takes the more likely he will think he's getting off with it probs.

Yes - I`m sure this is how his mind will interpret the "delay"!

Love it icemaiden! So the jury's gone home - Damn! I was sure they'd give their verdict today. On the plus side, that slimeball won't get a wink of sleep tonight. And with a bit of luck some joker's swapped his Anusol cream for Deep Heat - we can dream!!!

I have a Zen like calm about the time taken and the inevitable outcome.

If you take a look at http://www.britsoccrim.org/volume4/004.pdf you'll see that those Juries that take time to work through the legal questions and apply the law to the given evidence have a higher ratio of coming to the correct verdict. It's a handy bit of research and adds to my zen. :) Either that or it's the gin!

Me neither. They have had 4 hours, unless one or more of them insisted on having a lunch break, even though they were in the Jury room

They have 2 counts of Perverting Course of Justice on which they have to find him guilty as he has admitted it
The phone
Helen missing

so of the six charges, they only have to debate 4

Re the fraud charge. I reckon he might not get guilty on that one. They may decide that the afternoon sightings of Helen are accurate and that he killed her, but killed her later in the day so they can't prove she didn't make the standing order change.

That's very encouraging RB ......... I hope they are just doing a very thorough job and not dealing with one, or more, people who can't find someone guilty if they don't see a pic of the murder being carried out

I've missed a lot of today because there's too many posts and I'm at work. Read the stuff on Cambridge to catch up. Anything mad I've missed?
