Mr Russell Flint QC says: “I put to you this is completely wrong, and that he never said any such thing about Helen walking down the lane with the dog.” Gill denies this. Gill is now being re-examined by prosecutor Stuart Trimmer. She confirms she picked up that there had a been a change in Stewart’s account of events as to the day Helen went missing on April 11. “He told me there was a note and that he was watching Helen walking out, and that he assumed she was going to Broadstairs That’s all he remembered. “My question was why would she leave a note if she was planning to go to Broadstairs.” Gill has now finished giving evidence.

I put it to you - LOL

If the person I loved was missing I'd be grateful and relieved that the police were doing all they could.

Definitley. I think the being fed up of police coming round and also encouraging others to complain about press intrusion were big red flags. I'm sure very few loved ones of a missing person enjoys those aspects but they know they're necessary and will help to find the person.

Gill Currie is now being cross examined by the defence. Gill confirms that people had been encouraging Stewart to go on holiday, but he was not sure. “Myself and my colleague endorsed this encouragement, telling him we thought it might do him some good. “We suggested he bought a travel guide, planned out things to do, that he bought a relaxation CD to guide him through any stress and tension.” Gill confirms that she first heard about Stewart days before her first visit with him. “As I was his care co-ordinator I would have read Stewart’s notes on the system before seeing him Simon Russell Flint QC, defending, said: “You’re really telling the jury that when you attended his address he told you both he could clearly remember Helen Bailey walking down the lane with the dog and he assumed she was going to Broadstairs? “Yes”, she answers.

I wonder - does Gill know this from having talked with other people connected to IS ?

Or is this IS telling Gill that other people had been encouraging him ?

Ursula is a consultant psychiatrist, working at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage. “I was asked to see Stewart along with Gill Currey. The purpose of the meeting was to decide on a care plan for Stewart. “I was told he had been seen previously and that he needed a review to make decisions about his discharge or any other interventions that might have been needed. “Stewart presented as somewhat withdrawn and the thing that stuck in my mind was his need for reassurance about various things, and also trivial things like his daily routines. “He wanted reassurance from me and Gill about going on holiday. He was looking forward to the holiday, he was looking forward to being on his own and looking at shops, which didn’t fit into the picture that I had of someone who was distressed at the psychological situation he was in, and someone who was thinking of harming himself, someone who would be distressed about his partner going missing. “I thought that he wanted to go by himself, and he was looking forward to it.”

and
Court hears that Stewart told GC he saw Helen + Boris walking away down the lane but that he told her colleague he came home to note 2/2
and
Defence counsel to GC re. her recollection - 'I put to you that this is completely wrong. (Stewart) never said any such thing' @itvanglia
and
GC tells court she did ask Stewart why Helen would leave a note if he saw her walking down the lane. Says she got no answer @itvanglia

back to tara:

“We were talking about Stewart’s daily routines. He was talking about having friends round and cooking for them, we spoke about going for walks. “I asked him if he was going for walks by himself or with dogs. “He said ‘we had a dog’ as if the dog was not there anymore and this was something that stuck in my mind. “As soon as he left myself and my colleague Gill had a discussion about this.” Ursula Dlugon is now being cross examined by the defence. She confirms that people had been encouraging Stewart to go on holiday, and he said he was not sure. “In my opinion there was a low risk of him harming himself on holiday, so it was a good idea for him to go.”

I am loving this Gail Currey/Gill Currie. She'd fit in well here!!

Even if Helen was "just missing" I think a normal person would be frantic with worry and terribly upset.

Stewart complained of tension headaches

Stewart’s defence barrister, Simon Russell Flint, made the point to jurors that there wouldn’t have been a dog in the house at this time Stewart spoke to Ursula, as Boris was missing with Helen at this time. “I remember that Stewart was looking forward to the holiday, he did mention friends telling him he should go, and he wanted reassurance. “My mid-term goal was to discharge Stewart, so if he was showing signs of getting to terms with whatever he was dealing with, that’s something I was positive about. “Stewart was complaining of tension headaches, sleep disturbance, and a degree of distress. “I was looking at things he could do himself to feel better, I advised him he should consider doing a relaxation course at the Letchworth centre for healthy living. “It felt like all Stewart needed from us was to say ‘yes the holiday is OK, you should go’.”

Court takes break

“It was agreed Stewart should call when he was back from Palma and if all was well, he would be discharged at this time.” That’s the end of Ursula’s evidence, and there will now be a mid-morning break.
