I am loving this Gail Currey/Gill Currie. She'd fit in well here!!

Even if Helen was "just missing" I think a normal person would be frantic with worry and terribly upset.

If my OH was missing, I'd have the police in permanent arm locks devoted to finding him.

Haha, I love these professionals who have seen enough people in genuine distress to know a big ole faker when they see one!

I think even if you thought they'd gone away for some time alone you'd want to be there in case they came home. It also bugs me that he was able to possily get rid of evidence over there. The missing phones could be at the bottom of the ocean in Spain.

"Stewart’s defence barrister, Simon Russell Flint, made the point to jurors that there wouldn’t have been a dog in the house at this time Stewart spoke to Ursula, as Boris was missing with Helen at this time."

So what? He could have been going for walks with somebody else who had a dog, or even walking someone's dog. It was a reasonable question for her to ask.

Stewart complained of tension headaches

Stewart’s defence barrister, Simon Russell Flint, made the point to jurors that there wouldn’t have been a dog in the house at this time Stewart spoke to Ursula, as Boris was missing with Helen at this time. “I remember that Stewart was looking forward to the holiday, he did mention friends telling him he should go, and he wanted reassurance. “My mid-term goal was to discharge Stewart, so if he was showing signs of getting to terms with whatever he was dealing with, that’s something I was positive about. “Stewart was complaining of tension headaches, sleep disturbance, and a degree of distress. “I was looking at things he could do himself to feel better, I advised him he should consider doing a relaxation course at the Letchworth centre for healthy living. “It felt like all Stewart needed from us was to say ‘yes the holiday is OK, you should go’.”

Answers my earlier Q .........it was IS telling Ursula that friends had told him to go !

Yes, I tried to ask my OH what he would do as I'm quite an anxious and impulsive person and could well do a bunk if everything got too much but sadly he is no WS'er and just didn't want to think about it [emoji849] I don't think he would trot off on a jolly to Spain without me though!

The police must be so frustrated about the evidence too but I guess while there was little evidence their hands were tied.

That sounds more like it. So he was telling the psychs that friends said he should go on the holiday and telling friends that the psychs said he should go.

My guess is that IS was trawling through his limited friends and basically pushing them to agree with his decision to go on holiday (to try and get some documented approval) I very much doubt anyone would willingly encourage it under the circumstances at the time...

You're not in Oz are you? lol

I've got 3 jumpers on, and I would prefer a hot toddy.

In UK and bally freezing! Two jumpers and double socks!

It's ice creams whilst the Wurlitzer organ plays a medley of current favourite tunes - or nowt!

I think he's starting to think he'd better do something to look like he's earning his money! I don't know if the nurse would know the dog was missing anyway if it wasn't on the referral.

and

Ms Dlugan tells court she found it odd Stewart seemed to be looking forward to holiday + doing things there on his own 1/2
UD: 'this didn't fit with my picture of someone distressed because their partner was missing + thinking of self harming' 2/2

Why does he want to go on this holiday so badly anyway??

if someone else has paid for it ......! would be a waste not to! Pfft

remember Alex (gf of OS) said IS had spoken to "family" and decided that it was best he went to Spain.

IMO it was a great way of getting rid of evidence like 2 phones.

Thanks for all the updates.

I daren't get involved, I'm sitting on tenterhooks this morning waiting for the vet to call to let me know my sweet cat is ok. She's having her thyroid removed.

Two week escape from police visits ..........and kind, caring neighbours ......he could relax, no need to put on an act

The one thing missing from this case that I'd normally expect to see from a manipulative opportunist like IS is other women. Was there really no other woman/women in the background or has he just covered his tracks well?
