first time for everything

Image Caption: G4S van after infamous forum members let loose as convicted whinger murderer Ian Stewart is transported on final day of Helen Bailey murder trial.

( I couldn't find a proper prison van ^ that will have to suffice)

what at you want to do is what Michael Hamilton did when Vickys murderer was on trial. He stepped out in front of the van so it couldn't speed passed people waiting and slow walked it into the court area giving us all time to vent our feelings and giving Tobin a fraction more of an uncomfortable ride (don't know how to add pics but I tried)

My feeling is that IF it is to do with upbringing then it is about his mum, in his mind at least. Because he talked about her having PND and that sounds like blaming. But at the same time I don't think he would be the type to do any soul-searching. He is just looking for people he thinks brought terrible adversity to his life.

It's interesting that he is looking for people to blame when his case is that he hasn't done this wicked deed.

The absence of reference to his dad is also interesting and could be very significant. Because I do think he harbours deep deep anger. That is his base driving force. How that ever formed we probably will never find out, but I don't think the answers would even be rational anyway.

That is why I think there will be displays of anger in court, even if it's just at the verdict stage.

I'd like to know more about Helen's relationship with Jamie and Oliver. Oliver visited IS every week in prison. Jamie never went once. There's got to be a reason for this. It appears there was a strained relationship between Oliver and Helen - why? She said the boys had no respect for her or IS. Something is missing from this story.

“The cleaner almost had OCD - you told her not to do something but she still did it"

Stewart adds: “We were lucky enough to have a cleaner. “Helen or myself did the washing and by the time the cleaner got to the Broadstairs address it was put away. “We tended to drape it over the chairs and let it air for a bit. “In the summer it went out in the garden as well. “It would have been a bit different for Helen’s clothes to be on top of the washing. “The house was tidy before the cleaner came every week. “Her English was a challenge, I can’t remember what I said to her about changing the bed. “I didn’t want her to touch my bed because I had made it well enough. “When she did make the bed she always managed to get things wrong, like pillows in the wrong pillowcases. She would put the duvet round the wrong way. “The cleaner almost had OCD - you told her not to do something but she still did it. “She pulled the grout out of the side of the shower. The worst thing she ever did which really upset us was to tell her not to dust Helen’s bookcases because there was delicate stuff on there. “She still insisted on doing this and a china hare had been broken. “She put the hare back without telling us and hid the ear of the hare behind the books. “We were furious, I wanted to sack her straight away but Helen said to give her another chance. “About a month later she did it again, she picked it up and another ear of the hare had broken off. “We still stayed with her but communication was difficult.”

Yeah why not slag off the cleaner too. I bet it was him who broke the bloody hare. Horrible man.

Stewart breaks down again in the stand

“Helen was commissioned to write a book and she agreed. “The book was to contain the old blogs (50 per cent-ish) and about 50 per cent was totally new work. “That was about a year’s work. It was started in 2014 and done in 2015. “It was her going over how she coped with the death of John. It was her journey in the years after John died. “It was devastating for both of us on more than one occasion, because it meant going back to that raw stage of grief for both of us. “It took us back to the early days when everything was too painful. It was hard, a mental strain. “We were there for each other. It was almost like going over again when we first met online. It was almost like reliving that early time.” Stewart breaks down again in the stand.

I reckon he's going to say that Nick & Joe took Helen and wanted payment for money Helen's husband owed them and to ensure her safe return. Obviously they didn't want it to be traced to their account so they set up/amended the standing order to go into IS's account. They were then no doubt going to get IS to withdraw it as cash and hand it over to them. (knowing somehow that IS wouldn't go to police in the meantime and also being prepared to take payment in monthly installments rather than in one lump sum) They made IS give them access to his computer to do all of this (again so that nothing could be traced back to them). They then provided him with a mobile and used it to give him a number of instructions that he had to follow in order to get Helen back unharmed.

Honestly though what is he going to come up with? Nothing he comes up with would explain why he kept quiet about Nick & Joe, even after Helen's body was found.

And, even if it were true (likely story!) and he had to keep quiet as he was being blackmailed etc., how would he be capable of remaining so detached and unemotional, carrying on as normal - more or less - with his sons & going on holiday, if the woman he loved and was going to marry had been kidnapped and was in danger of her life? How would Joe & Nick know about the cesspit moreover??? Since when do kidnappers also kidnap a dog which would draw attention to their owner's plight? What I would like to know is what his reaction was when he 'found out' that she was dead and her body had been found in the cesspit. His reaction might in itself have revealed a lot to the police, and unless I have missed something, I don't think we have been told how he reacted (other than not knowing about it until July). Surely if he were innocent he would be distraught, break down, not be 'oh, did you [find her body in cesspit'] - actually it was Joe & Nick that must have put it there'...

resentment/jealousy about JS indicated ?

why is her grief triggering his grief over Diane?

Well.....so she took all the drugs herself (allegedly), but he still has to explain the cesspit away.

  • #310
So the person who avoided taking drugs unless neccessary, and who researched any drugs, decided to take a strong sleeping pill prescribed for somebody else and not mention it to her mother , even when she was trying to work out why she was falling asleep. Her poor family having to listen to this absolute guff.

Plus he has already said in his police interviews that she did not take medication.

Dominic Reynolds Verified account ‏@domreynolds 18m18 minutes ago

Stewart explains they bought 7-bed home in Royston with Helen's money, but in both their names, on accountant's advice.

Any issues, arguments between you? "No". Any jealousy, resentment? "None". Stewart says they were "very happy
Still catching up.....but......every testimony I read I grab an OP bucket and :deepbreaths:........

I wouldn't be surprised if he said she fainted and fell back into it like she fell back onto the bed back in 2012.

He is showing today just how manipulative he is.

Definitely. HB also commented about the gf being "rude". Also remember the friend saying about OS upsetting her (HB).

A GP would never prescribe Zopiclone for him if it was known it would interfere with his Myasthenia Gravis!

Yup waiting 5 months before mentioning them just doesn't make sense. I'm hoping that his Nick & Joe explantion is what will let the jury see straight through his lies.

The cleaner and the smashed sculpture , hidden pieces - if that's a lie , I'd want to be recalled if I was that cleaner to set that straight

In one of Helens PG blog posts she mentions how she lost her Christmas cards and found them again behind books on that bookshelf. There seems to lots of little games played out in this household!

unfortunately, yesterday we had his GP

GPHowe on cross:He confirms that on January 25, Stewart was prescribed zopiclone. He states that Stewart was suffering from Myasthenia gravis at this time, and zopiclone can be prescribed but “one has to be careful”. “It is prescribed with caution.”

Totally. Gaslighting

As for blog posts , only this morning I was reading her JS balloon release on H Heath, with Boris obviously.

Do I really believe she then went and released another with him on a mini-break. Nope.

We know that it can be used with caution but he'd been prescribed it twice before and presumably had no problems.

Which makes me wonder why he said "apparently" it has a very bitter taste, if he'd been prescribed it twice before? Surely he'd know for sure if it did or didn't?

Did he not take it on the previous occasions either?

“If she put zopiclone in her food do you think she might have noticed this? “Yes”, he said. If it was crushed in her scrambled eggs do you think she would have tasted that? “Yes, she would have noticed instantly as zopiclone apparently has a bitter taste.”

I need help - can't stay away! Thank goodness we have a few hours out planned for tomorrow. BUT, this one struck me about hiding things behind books. Am almost sure it was raised on here, anyone remember Helen losing some Dachsund Christmas Cards and finding them much later (after Christmas I think) - hidden behind some books. Bet that was the cleaner as well. NOT!
