You know I always have a bit of a wobble at this stage in a case, where I think "OMG what if they get away with this???" Well the wobble is only a little one this time and I'll be shocked to the core if he's found not guilty.

I always worry too ...even though I feel far more confident about this verdict than many others I have followed

[h=3]More evidence to be heard[/h]Judge Andrew Bright QC: “Well members of the jury, it appears as a result of the legal discussion we had it has became clear that the evidence is not yet finished and we need to have more evidence, which will come to light at 10am tomorrow. “It includes extracts from a book which will take a bit of time for counsel to get together. “Rather than keep you hanging on, the time has come for me to send you away for the day and ask you to come back tomorrow.”

[h=3]Jury expected to start considering its verdict on Monday[/h]Judge Bright continues: “We’re hoping we’ll move on pretty much soon after 10am for Mr Trimmer’s prosecution closing speech to you. “There will then be the defence speech, before my summing up on Friday. “I will conclude my summing up on Monday morning, there is every chance you will be in retirement by lunchtime on Monday. “How long it takes you to reach a verdict is something no-one can predict.” That’s the end of the evidence for today.

Wow,Helens book I assume what do we think it might be?

Mentions of how wary she was of taking medication?
A different version of events to one that IS has given in court?
any more possibles?

ETA Oh evidence from the Defence? Dunno then

OMG, now you've said it! :floorlaugh:

I actually looked up some BG images! Their manager's father, "Mr English" lived next door to us in Hampstead Garden suburb, where I flat-shared in late 70s. I met David when he visited -he wasn't that bad looking then (has aged worse than me!) and asked me what I thought of his recently broken nose-was and is a great cricket player and organiser.

Was never a fan, and love the description of IS.

A fictional piece of writing that was on the bookshelf of IS, where the plot is eerily similar to his fantastical tale?

But if it is Defence evidence, surely they would have had this prepared ? so is it Pros evidence ?

Might be that he is getting seriously muddled now and starting to contradict itself. As Trimmer wisely pointed out to him - the truth is not hard to recall, but lies, especially when there have been reams of them, are far more difficult to remember, especially when one cannot remember what one has said to whom...

Sorry, just catching up. The psychiatric nurse insisted that IS told her he had last seen Helen walking down the lane with Boris. I think he just wanted to contradict her testimony tbh. He seems to enjoy attacking the credibility of the witnesses against him in bizarre ways, eg by saying that the cleaning lady broke an ornament. I think he just said that Boris never got a walk that day on the spur of the moment on the stand with the nurse's testimony in mind, without thinking it through and without realising that it would also contradict his own witnesses.

What can it be, what can it be?? Something IS said that can be refuted...Hmm

@TaraCoxCN Do we know if the additional evidence for Helen Bailey trial is being presented by prosecution or defence?

Tara Cox ‏@TaraCoxCN
@imLauraDavis Hi Laura, I'm not sure on which side I'm afraid - but I am sure we will find out tomorrow. Thanks for your kind words!
