I've been following for a while and just wanted to comment on the things being said.
I don't think Libby would have known the suspect. Either from the gym or elsewhere. Nor do I think he'd be stalking her specially because it looks like a series of tragic mishaps that led to their paths crossing. However I do think she'd have trusted him because he looks harmless and she was drunk, probably scared, probably starting to feel the cold, possibly a bit disorientated and lost. He'd have looked like a good Samaritan especially if he claimed to be a taxi.
I do think it's worth looking at his previous crimes. The last happened days before she went missing. One paper said a student house five minutes away from his home. As well as the normal stuff people steal he stole photos, knickers and sex toys. If it was a student house those photos will probably have been stuck on walls which would take time. Plus I guess he'd need to look for sex toys. They're not lying around like lap tops. That shows a lot of confidence that nobody would come home and what the occupants were like. That suggests a lot of planning rather than opportunism.
So I wonder had he decided and planned to snatch someone and Libby was the unfortunate first opportunity. She hasn't been found yet. An opportunist wouldn't have been that good at hiding a body. Plus sometime between her going missing and his arrest he managed to call his sister and give her some pre prepared reason for Libby's dna and address to be in his car.
The police also says grey beard had been "very helpful". Did he just stop to help because she looked distressed or because he was concerned about someone or something suspicious such as someone driving around in the vicinity? Could he have alerted the police to PRs car?
Is it worth looking to his previous crimes for clues
