1 mile love
Hmmmm.....so did she live in Huncoat as reported, or did she live across from the cemetery in Accrington?

I'm just jumping off your post Kaykedi, not asking you directly.

It's Huncoat. I live in Accrington and it's a mile from my property to Lindsay's. Her house does face the cemetery, even though people call it Accrington Cemetery it's actually Huncoat

For people not local to the area Huncoat is kind of in 2 parts...you have the area around the cemetery and the council estate surrounding it.

But if you follow Burnley Road up to the Griffins Head and turn left there that takes you to what locals class as Huncoat village.

I hope that makes sense

Hi all first post here. MOO Ive found a video on youtube I believe shows the "suspect" with LB'S Missing Jacket.
I believe this video is taken from the little road that runs along the side of the houses just before the whitakers arms. There is a clearing of trees and a circular brown/rust roof at end of this little dirt road.
(VIDEO - REMOVED)

Just delete it rather having mods have to come along and clean the thread up again. Either that or this thread will keep end up being locked.

I removed at 10:32. Sorry lol

I cant edit the guy who mentioned my posts comments.

Hi this video has been removed from here once before because it doesn’t come from a credible source....I’m sure a mod will come along and explain why this should not be shared on here .
@Spender - The banned video is now in your quoted post. Do you have time to remove it, or has your edit time expired?

I can’t delete it or edit it.....lockdown is coming ☹️
No, don't worry. The mods will likely just delete it and we'll move on.

So what are the prevailing theories?

1. Random attack by total stranger.
2. Targeted attack by someone watching/stalking Lindsay specifically.
3. Lindsay attacked after stumbling upon a different crime?

Other ideas...?

I’ve considered all of the above .....all of which have terrible implications but I’m swaying as time goes by to think it’s pretty random. She may have left her home to have a leisurely stroll before having an early evening meal with her daughter lending the theory as why she left her home with no bag etc. The thing that bothers me is it has been suggested her clothes were missing and up until that point the thought of a sexual motive hadn’t been a factor in my mind . However I still have not seen a direct report saying “clothes” were missing MOO

It's horrible to say, but I've been thinking sex attack for quite a while now. I don't know anything about missing clothes. The police haven't released any real information since the arrest.

To be fair there has to be some sort of motive to do something like this but a sexual one is probably the worst case imaginable for this lady and now her family to have to endure. I really hope it wasn’t that way ....to meet her end the way we know she did is bad enough

Thank you.

The teacher was last seen wearing a purple Rab bubble jacket, black leggings, a white shirt with blue pin stripes and black trainers with a white sole.

Her Huawei phone is also still missing.

Search widens for missing Lindsay Birbeck

That quote is from before her body was found, it’s virtually word for word for the other posted.

I don’t believe they have ever specifically said that any of her clothing is missing

It’s easy to see how though, with them using the term “also missing”, people think clothing is missing....it’s a little misleading

I agree.

I’ve pondered that theory, maybe it’s just me not wanting to go there, but I just keep thinking would a 16yr old really try sexually attacking an obviously fit and healthy 5ft 11 47yr old woman.

I’ve been watching for further arrests as I do ‘t believe he was alone but then surely his accomplice would have shown up on cctv with him in that area. But there’s been no appeals for help identifying anyone else

I'm learning toward random..more often than not if any sexual crime its mentioned in charges or court quite early and none so far ..though obviously still could be added
I'm veering more towards a hatred of women generally...not sure why ..a totally random feeling
I dont think it would have escalated just because of witnessing a crime .. its likely he had been involved in petty crime all his life it wouldn't bother him ..but not impossible if he had and unusual violent temperament

I wish we knew something about what the 16 y/o was like before he (allegedly) committed this murder. Knowing his history might help explain what drove him to do this.
