Now that the boys name is out in the public domain is that likely to jeopardise the case ?

I wouldn't have thought so

Hello all, I am within a mile of the LB case and it is completely baffling the whole community.

From what I believe LB phone died whilst out shopping with her daughter for the afternoon. If this is the case what I dont understand is how did it last ping at her house? This implies she likely put it on charge and it was turned back... but as her daughter confirmed she took her phone with her... so how come there is no further pings from it when she was out?

Also, her ex husband has been portayed as her current husband in all media/news reports.

Welcome to websleuths.
That is interesting information about Lindsay's phone.

It won't jeopardise the case. It's just protocol really as he is a 'child'. My opinion is at sixteen and can marry, murder etc he is not a child

The press still can’t report his name.

Pretty stupid of the court page, they still haven’t removed it.

i think she only charged it a small amount, enough to ping at home.....then went out, we still don't know where to .,where she was actually headed.....and the phone again died quickly

the law pages often have names obscured but then in the comments by judges, the name is mentioned

Probably because the lawpages.com administrator is in hiding!

I notice on google maps that the next building to the pub in the direction Lindsay was walking is Hillside Funeral Directors. Surely these would have CCTV? No doubt the police would have viewed them and if there is no sign of Lindsay after the 4.06 sighting then that would mean that she must have either gone into the Whitakers Arms, the car park at the back of the pub or the side road that eventually leads to The Coppice.

What do we think? She got home from shopping, put the phone on charge, received a message that she’d missed whilst the phone was out of battery and urgently headed straight out with the phone before it had charged properly?

Can a phone powered off still ping? I’m sure that question has been asked before but I can’t locate the post

Edit

I was wondering if it pinged when she put it on charge but hadn’t powered it up when she picked it up on her way out

Im thinking there must be some incriminating evidence on that phone to link her to her murderer. Why else would the body be found but the phone hasnt (from what i believe) its surely been taken by the perpetrator for some reason and placed elsewhere? JMO?

No, it needs to be on and connected to the network mast.

Let’s hope not
Bu it is best to refrain from mentioning it anywhere because I’ve seen people putting it on FB and even though it’s been accidentally released, it still clearly states on the site that juveniles are subject to reporting restrictions and anyone found breaching then can be imprisoned

I’m sorry if my reply to LucyRocket came across as rude, it wasn’t meant to be, she made some good points.

I was just thinking out loud :)

I didn't think of it as rude.

In my experience, it is a whole different level of gut-punch to see a visual, knowing that your murdered family member was actually in that situation, than knowing that items were found near a scene. The FLO will have told the family about the footage to prepare them prior to releasing it to the media

I think the police would be able to retrieve her phone use without the actual phone.

This is an emerging subject that is currently changing rapidly and in some cases you can still pick up the gps when it’s powered down. Certainly it’s happening in USA currently and if you google the question you will see a deep and analytical reply about how it happens without spyware .

Local Update:

Police (8:45pm Uk) still searching a central area at the rear of the cemetery 50 yards in from the stone boundary wall that leads down to the railway. The area is highly illuminated.
They are also (10:45pm Uk) searching the garages at the top of the dirt road between The Whittaker’s Arms & the funeral directors.

I wonder why they are searching at night.
