so theres no proof lindsay was ever even on the coppice?

The same here. I'm not familiar with court proceedings, but i did wonder if (apart from the obvious lunch and 'coffee break') all the chamber sittings and other stoppages were normal.
They are not normal and court usually sits from 945 until 1230/1300 with a 20 minute coffee break around 1115
It then resumes at 1400 until around 16-1730 however, because he is a juvenile, they will be being extra responsible towards his wants and needs so that if he were to be convicted, there can be no ground for appeal because of the way in which he has been treated

I’m confused, you walk up peel park avenue to access the coppice
I think it was assumed LB went up by WA but she could have accessed via Peel Park, they wouldn't know which way she went. I guess what the defence is getting at is would also mean that other people could have entered and exited via Peel Park and they wouldn't necessarily know... Who and when

It's only a guess but I wouldn't be surprised if the reason for the meeting in chambers was the defence asking the judge to consider dismissing the case for lack of evidence. This does not meet the required standards for prosecution in my opinion.

I'm not so well versed on all the cctv sightings as others here but wasn't he sighted emerging from the Coppice with her in the bin? Also they have scraping of the bin on the concrete plinths from somewhere around that vicinity.

I would be very very surprised if that were the case (albeit I can see where you are coming from because I personally don’t believe that it has been proven that RM killed LB, never mind proved beyond all reasonable doubt) but in my experience that hasn’t happened before and prior to a full crown court trial , there are procedures that are gone through to test the value of the evidence and if it is considered sufficient to take it to court with the probability of a 90% rate of conviction or more. Often they will hold a ‘voire dire’ ( trial within a trial) to ascertain this .
Edited to add: Its too costly to put on a trial like this if it is believed that it it is not highly likely to succeed at securing a conviction

Change of plan : the court will reconvene after lunch at 2pm

but she wasn't seen alive on the coppice

maybe she met someone nearby in a car....murder scene wasn't found on the coppice which we all thought odds maybe it wasn't the scene of her murder at all

i'm shocked at how little there actually is here

Soil recovered with her body is from the coppice.
I wonder if they tested/matched the soil in the knife box. I don't think anything about the knife has been reported except in so far as there were no knife wounds on the body and her trainers were cut up. But nothing about whether it was that knife.

I think it was confirmed as soil from the coppice on the knife, I'll see if i can find it :)

I wonder why no evidence will be heard in court this afternoon?

Morning....
Hopefully I will be able to follow as it happens today, spent last night catching up..
There is still no real evidence of him killing her.... With all the other findings, like trainers in skip nr the body, gloves nr the body, bin nr the body, no attempt really at clearing away evidence properly, it's like he had no concern about the items being found. I was wondering "if" there was someone else involved if they had removed all clothing, but then why wud they leave the trainers... Why the heck would anyone leave the trainers.
I am still trying to work out how dna was inly on the left glove, has anyone got a theory? Or did he go to the gym to build up just his left arm so all the moving could be done with his left haha
Looking forward to hearing more about the saw that was found... And hopefully there is more evidence to come out but I can't see it pointing to him killing her, so far all evidence can be covered by him moving the body.
Would any of the new members who are locals to the area it happened tell me how much police presence there was around the area of the oub/herhouse/cemetery on the 17th?

snipped from above

He could have put gloves on when he was trying to cut off the leg ( sorry )
If he is right handed, then he would be holding the saw in his right hand and the leg in his left hand. Hence LBs dna on left glove only.
