Rudakubana kicked out of court for second time

Axel Rudakubana is interrupting from the dock again, shouting: "I need to be seen by a paramedic, I feel ill".

The judge swiftly removes him and reminds the court two paramedics have already seen him and determined he is fit to appear.

I wish they had one of those rooms they could put him in where he’s forced to watch the proceedings but can’t interrupt or cause disruptions inside the courtroom.

I’m sure the families of those precious, innocent children feel more ill than he ever could.

(Not that I believe his phony claims anyway.)

Continuing her victim impact statement, Leanne Lucas says Axel Rudakubana targeted her and the other victims because they were "vulnerable and easy prey".

The 36-year-old says all she wanted to do was make a "positive impact" but has now lost her job as she can no longer provide "guidance and reassurance to anyone."

"I feel like I can no longer be trusted again," she says. "I can never feel that level of responsibility again where there may be dangers to others".

What a wonderful and powerful impact statement by Leanne Lucas.

So proud of her.

The parents statements are just so desperately sad.

Just heartbreaking.

The court next hears a statement from Jenny Stancombe, Elsie Dot Stancombe's mother, who directs some of her remarks at Axel Rudakubana. Read out by prosecution lawyer Deanna Heer KC, here's some of what she wanted to say:

We are not going to stand here and list everything you have taken away from us, because we refuse to give you the satisfaction of hearing it.

We will not let you know anything about [Elsie] because you don't deserve to know the extraordinary person she was.

You know what you have done, and we hope the weight of that knowledge haunts you every single day.

What you did was not only cruel and pure evil, it was the act of a coward.

"Asking if there was any material the defence wanted to place before the court ahead of the sentencing,
barrister Stan Reiz, replied:

'There is considerable material about the defendant’s mental health before these offences were committed'.

The judge then suggested there could be
'previous incidents that may be relevant'
to how the defendant is sentenced,
to which Reiz said,
'Yes, my lord'.

However,
Reiz added there would be no psychiatric report.

The latest remarks come
despite the court previously hearing how Rudakubana had no obvious evidence of a mental health disorder."

First is a statement being read by the father of one of the surviving children - he says he asked his nine-year-old daughter to explain the impact the events had on her.

"When people in school asked me 'do you wish you weren’t there that day' I said that, in some ways, I wish I wasn’t, but also, if I wasn’t there, someone else would have been stabbed and they could have died, so I’m glad I might have stopped someone else getting hurt."

Her father continues, saying that "her words both horrify us and make us immeasurably proud. Our daughter is strong. Our daughter is positive. Our daughter is brave.

"Our daughter is everything that Axel Rudakubana is not. She is our hero."

Ricin found in the home of Southport killer Axel Rudakubana’s home could have killed up to 12,500 people, a court heard today at his sentencing.

The teenager obtained 150 castor beans that can be used to make the deadly poison while he also downloaded an Al-Qaeda training manual with instructions on how to produce it.

Rudakubana has twice been removed from the dock for interrupting his sentencing at Liverpool Crown Court as families sat nearby branded him a coward.

I know the details are all over x but please respect the families. Its horrific.

"We are aware of social media posts online detailing the injuries sustained by the girls who died and those injured in the attack in Southport on 29 July 2024.

The families of the little girls specifically asked that those details not be reported.

The families of Bebe, Alice and Elsie and of all those affected in the tragedy have faced unimaginable grief and trauma in the months since the attacks, and do not need their suffering compounded by reckless posts on social media.

Please do not post or share detailed accounts of the injuries they sustained.

Thank you."

The court heard Rudakubana was found in possession of a small kitchen knife in March 2022 when he was reported missing.

She added:
He said that he wanted to stab someone so that he would get into trouble and his Tik Tok account, which contained embarrassing videos that he was unable to delete, would be closed down by the police. He said he had also thought about poisoning people or had tried to make poison for the same reason.

Sentencing about to begin

The sentencing of Axel Rudakubana is about to begin.

Stan Reiz KC, for the defence, says: "The defendant does not want to re-enter the room and if he is forced he will be disruptive."

Families keep dignified silence while cowardly Rudakubana stays out of dock

The families in court kept a dignified silence as the judge passed sentence.

The dock remains empty.

Justice Goose adds: “It is highly likely that he will never be released.”

Good sentence. There's no chance he'll ever be freed IMO.

  • #919
Slip of the tongue by the judge at the end when he declared a minimum sentence of 51 days and 190 days

  • #920
COWARD until the end.
