GUILTY UK- Major incident declared in Southport after multiple stabbings, 29 July 2024

  • #1,121
AR is realising he's Britain's most hated prisoner. No mates inside or out a target on his back,, his family have washed their hands of him. 52 years is the soonest he's getting out (it's likely he'll never be released should he survive that long. His behaviour in prison is certain to see the addition of a couple more years). Prison gangs have a code & none are going to want a triple child killer in their ranks or offer protection.
His recent attack on guards serves 2 purposes, it's going to get him a reputation as a hard case not to be messed with. He could well be behaving in a manner which sees him sent to Broadmoor though he's not going to be seeing any friendly faces there

Have they ? brother Dion seems interested

I don't know about his family, tbh. It seems like Dion has interest in the process of the trial. (for what for reasons, idk)

"In his ruling, Sir Adrian said the inquiry would consider the extent to which the threat posed by Rudakubana was appreciated and appropriately handled by members of his immediate family, including his brother.

He said: “Their influence over him, or the lack of it, along with the steps they did or did not take will be the subject of examination during the hearings in September and October 2025 .

The inquiry chairman said it was not “credibly suggested” that Dion Rudakubana had any involvement in the attack.

A number of parents of the child victims and at least one of the adult victims had expressed “considerable concern” about the possibility of Rudakubana’s brother being able to listen to impact evidence and being provided with disclosure of “highly sensitive materials” relating to the narrative of the attack, Sir Adrian said."
Southport killer’s brother will not be able to see parts of inquiry – chairman

Agree completely with the bereaved families.
If I were one of them, I would be most interested to know everything about the Rudakubana family involvement or lack of and particularly Dion's interest and access to information.

FIEND'S JAIL TREATS

Fury as Southport monster WINS BACK jail perks including TV after prison officer attack as bosses ‘bribe’ him to behave

Reform MP Richard Tice says he is 'appalled' by the move.
SOUTHPORT monster Axel Rudakubana has won back privileges including a TV and DVD player to encourage him to behave.

The triple child killer, who hurled boiling water at a guard in May, has had his regime raised from “basic” to “standard”.

"The teacher who organised the Southport dance class where three young girls were stabbed to death
today told a public inquiry that the attack has left her
‘excluded and ostracised’
in her hometown.

Leanne Lucas, 36, said
she had been branded both a hero and a villain
following the atrocity and now felt
‘exposed, criticised and unsafe’
in her own home.

In a harrowing statement to the inquiry,
at Liverpool Town Hall,
she said she had purposely stayed away from events in the seaside community
in case her presence
‘triggered’ trauma in children who survived.

'I don’t attend events.
I don’t heal alongside or within my community.
I feel ostracised in the very town where I built my life'."

"The survivor
- referred to as Child C6 to protect her anonymity -
was stabbed in the back and arm
as she courageously tried to shepherd younger girls out of the studio
and needed emergency surgery.

Child C6 told the Southport Inquiry:

'I will never forget the fear, the panic or the way I felt wondering if we were going to survive.

Why wasn't he stopped?
There were multiple occasions where this could've been prevented.
How many others are out there like him?
This can't happen again'.

Child C6 told the Inquiry
she was giving the statement because she felt their voices should be heard.

She added:
'But this is something I shouldn't have to do,
because this should never have happened'.

After she finished her evidence,
Inquiry chairman Sir Adrian Fulford said:

'Very well and bravely done'.

"Mother of Southport victim 'surviving by a thread' after pain of her daughter's death

- as she tells inquiry stabbing rampage could have been prevented.

1757967945490.webp

Lauren King, 43,
today sobbed as she demanded
‘real change and accountability’
so her daughter’s death ‘is not in vain'.

She said the killing of her six-year-old daughter, Bebe,
was ‘preventable’ and occurred
‘because of failures that should never have been allowed'.

'The truth must be faced.
Accountability must be taken.
And real change must be made.
Because this was preventable.
It should never have happened'.

Mrs King also said no amount of therapy could resolve ‘being told in public, on a street corner, that my child was dead'.

She said she is now under ‘hospital care’ because the physical pain she developed following Bebe’s murder has been debilitating.

‘Everything just hurts',
she said.
‘I haven’t cooked a meal in 14 months because I simply can’t find the strength or executive function to complete even simple tasks'."

But, although officers found no evidence that they shared their son's interest in violence, the barrister said a number of teachers, mental health workers and other professionals will tell the hearings they 'took issue' with the couple's actions as their son's behaviour deteriorated in the years prior to the July 29 atrocity.

One psychiatrist said she asked for a colleague to take over Rudakubana's care because she found his father to be 'intimidating and verbally aggressive,' while another headteacher said she 'lost' his parents' support when she told them he had been referred to Prevent, the Government's counter-extremism programme, a third time.

Mr Moss said: 'It may be said to be apparent that AR's (Rudakubana's) parents were aware of other aspects of AR's conduct that might have been expected to give rise to a concern.

'The Inquiry…will seek to explore their awareness of AR's online orders and the items that AR stored in his bedroom.'

Is this a case of a child who fell through the cracks of the system that resulted in the tragedy or is it a person who's destiny was to commit evil act at a young age no matter what help was offered to him?
It may be the same thing but I see a difference in one being where a person is sort of left behind in the system that may not have realised what they were dealing with while the other is no matter how much support and advice is given to him he's going to commit murder.

Given the further information coming out ,he should have been in secure accommodation a long time before the atrocities he committed in Southport.
If his parents knew he was ordering knives then they should also be behind bars.

I think as parents we never expect the worse of our children. Mental health support for young people is difficult to get in a timely manner in the UK imo. However, when your child starts ordering knives I think you need to start questioning things!

Not to mention busily preparing poison in the living room

I think the parents were terrified of him. I seem to remember way back that he was sleeping in the lounge as his bedroom was full of stuff.

Can you imagine what having this malevolent and violent creature sharing their living space must have been like. Its not an excuse and they did try to get help but as usual something horrific has to happen before those that should be helping and in my opinion locking him up for everyones safety start to listen.

I am not sure that the parents were willing to cooperate with the various authorities seeking to provide help and support. I imagine other people could tell a similar story of their experiences with his parents.

Noting, fwiw..
2015 rbbm.
''Rates of mental illness in Rwanda are significantly higher than other countries. This is largely attributed to the trauma many suffered during the 1994 genocide, which left nearly one million dead and a country full of people deeply affected emotionally.

The government is trying to respond to the need for mental health care. But resources are limited. For example, there are only six psychiatrists in the entire country.

The fierce stigma that surrounds mental illness in Rwanda is another problem that makes treatment and therapy difficult. ''

Oct 8, 2020
''Around 12% of people in sub-Saharan Africa live with a mental illness such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, eating disorders, schizophrenia, and alcohol and drug use disorders — a figure that’s likely to be higher following COVID-19.In Rwanda, the percentage of people with a mental illness is thought to be above the regional average and, according to the experts Devex spoke to, the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi may be a major contributing factor.During the national period of commemoration, which begins in April each year, a large number of people experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and generalized anxiety disorders with panic attacks, said Dr. Bizoza Rutakayire, a psychiatrist and a senior consultant in psychiatry at Caraes Ndera.''

The parents had been in England for years and had the benefit of treatment on the NHS .
They were not still living in Rwanda with six psychiatrists for the whole country.

Hard to imagine that his father was terrified, he has a black belt, since 2015
in Shotokan Karate.

"He began his training in his native Rwanda in 1996.studying sport Karate for around three years and taking his first belts there before moving to the UK in 2002.
Based in Cardiff Alphonse resumed his karate training in 2002, training with the Welsh Shotokan Karate Union in three different clubs and progressing through to brown belt by 2010..... "

The brother of the Southport killer has spoken for the first time about the 'most immense pain, anguish and grief' caused by his sibling's attack.

Dion Rudakubana, 21, told the public inquiry investigating his younger brother Axel's crimes that he wanted to help it investigate if officials could have done more to prevent the atrocity.

Despite being under the care of mental health professionals for three years, he had only been diagnosed with autism and anxiety, and was officially discharged from their care six days before the atrocity.

Rudakubana was also effectively a recluse, having not been to school for more than two years. Instead he spent most of his days in his bedroom watching violent videos.

Specialists also raised concerns about Rudakubana's Rwandan-born parents, who the inquiry has heard apparently signed for knives and machetes that their son illegally ordered online.

Psychiatrists complained about the behaviour of his 'intimidating' father, Alphonse, 49, and social workers witnessed 'tension' during home visits.

The inquiry has been told mental health professionals carried out a risk assessment of Rudakubana on July 23 last year, six days before the killings, when he was discharged.

The findings of that assessment - the third in four years - have not been disclosed.

The taxi driver who drove Axel Rudakubana to the children's dance class where he carried out the Southport knife attack waited 50 minutes before calling the police, an inquiry has heard.

Gary Poland, who picked Rudakubana up from his home in Banks, Lancashire, took nearly an hour to call 999 despite hearing children scream and seeing them fleeing the massacre in his rearview mirror as he drove away.

When the taxi driver did eventually call 999, he was heard telling the operator: 'I heard screaming, proper screaming.'

''The inquiry today also heard of AR’s attempts to purchase weapons in the run up to what happened. Police searches later found he had bought machetes, a sledgehammer and a bow and arrow. He also made inquiries about buying a crossbow''

''Officers also found a pulp-like material under his bed which we know from court documents tested positive for the toxin ricin. The inquiry heard with the correct refinement, if inhaled it had to potential to kill more than 12,500 people.

Earlier the inquiry heard how its believed the perpetrator had seen details of the event advertised on Instagram and would have known it was being run by women for young children.

We also heard how he had searched online for the stabbing of a bishop in Australia shortly before he left home to carry out the attack.''
