I had a look on her facebook and she had plenty pictures of her other kids but there didn't seem to be any of Mikaeel. If she's not a car driver then there may be other people to question too.

That is exactly what I thought last night.

I am so gutted to hear this. Poor little man. Such sad news to wake up to.

Could you elaborate please?

Zwiebel, if you are asking about the not proven bit

In England we have only Guilty or Not Guilty verdicts

but in Scotland a Not Proven verdict can also be handed down

It means the person is freed but - imo - never feeling fully cleared of the crime

Could you elaborate please?

There are 3 verdicts available for jurors to return in Scottish courts. Guilty/Not Guilty and Not Proven. Not Proven is seen by some as a Not Guilty verdict but it basically just means the Prosecution couldn't prove their case.

There was talk of getting rid of it in Scotland but I just thought that those outside Scotland might not be aware that there's a strange little quirk in the Scottish legal system.

Am I reading this right - we all thought grandmother was a GP but this reads as though it is in fact her current husband who is a doctor and develops property. Just me having "a moment"?

Am sure I also read that her mother was a GP but it doesn't seem to be mentioned in this article

I'd be interested now in knowing why, although only one person will know the true answer to that. But why? Why Mikaeel over his other siblings?

Fits my theory of accident due to neglect. My theory is she popped out to drop the other kids to school and nursery on Wednesday morning leaving him (genuinely sick) at home, and when she got back he was dead. Knowing she could face jail for neglect due to leaving tiny child alone, she concocted the plot. During the wednesday she moved his body, and then kept the other kids out of his room so they would not see he was gone.

I have amended my theory a little to move the disposal from Wednesday night to Wednesday morning to take account of the reported visit to the bungalow, and the fact no CCTV exists for Wednesday night showing a child being carried from the building.

I'm so mad at the people commenting under those photos on her FB. Regardless of feelings about this she has NOT been charged yet. I'm not saying she won't be but perhaps people should avoid commenting until after a trial. They seem to forget that what they post could impact a trial and that won't help little M.

Also there are people commenting on posts made by her friends months ago at her graduation, as though they are to blame and should have known this would happen.

Sky News reported that Rosdeep's mother was a well respected GP in the Kirkcaldy area.

No it doesn't, they don't even refer to her as Dr whereas they have for the husband. Mmm. Moot point but still... these things niggle at me

I have similar thoughts to you on this.

Another bit from the Daily Mail article

Miss Kular, in one online posting, says of herself: ‘Just me, myself and I... oh yeah, with a brood of five monsters, six if you count the man indoors!’

If she hasn't had contact with the twins father since their birth then this suggests there was a boyfriend on the scene at some point. I can't find that quote on her facebook page so can't see a date of when it was posted.

I was thinking again about what Rosie said on facebook, to do with having five little monsters, six if you include the man indoors.

'The man indoors' seems like a strange way to refer to a live in boyfriend, no?

There are no pictures of this 'man indoors' on her facebook that I can see. Could a relationship have broken up recently I wonder and she deleted his pics?

And could this man have anything to do with Mikaeel's death?

She seemed to cope with being glammed up for years & out clubbing going by her FB photos. Sorry no excuses.

Oh I agree, no excuse at all ....... I mean no one forces a person to have more children surely .....

  • #457
You are right, I got that wrong. I just rechecked and it were indeed both of the twins in foster care.
Your point makes sense - she worked full time and had 5 children, that must be pretty hard, not to forget she was a single mother too.
Which leads to another question: Who was caring for all those children when the mom was at work?

Still, I can't get my head around why she would suddenly decide to get rid of one of them.

I presume that as a self-employed mobile beauty therapist, she could pick her own working hours and probably worked within school hours, as childcare fees for 5 children would have been huge.

It's the kind of thing that I imagine the press hear as a rumour from a neighbour when chatting to them or a friend if their's: 'Oh Mrs K, yeah I heard she was a Dr.' It then gets reported as such by the media when actually someone recalls being told something else by someone and got it a little mixed up. In the MOMs desperation to report the slightest detail about a suspect's family and life and be the first to do it, the facts don't get checked properly until later.

I expect that the press have had an idea of the likely outcome of this for a while. They have built up a background to the story that will be of most interest to people. It's a far more interesting story that a mother who has been charged with murdering her child had a middle class up bringing, with a doctor mother, went to a good school, got decent grades but then at some point went off the rails, got married young, got divorced, had 5 children, e.t.c.., than it would be that a child was murdered by an unemployed mother who lived on a sink estate and had done her whole life.

It's not right but the press like their stereotypes and if this goes against the typical stereotypes then it is much of an interesting story to them.

I hope that makes sense. I haven't explained my thoughts vey clearly - my head is all over the place this morning.

I bet you tomorrow morning, the Daily Mail will have an article which details the mother's upbringing and includes the value of her home and/or the house that M was found in and her parent's home! The DM can't help but publish house values!

Not sure but I think she mean the man indoors, a common saying from a Tv programme if I remember right? Although I think it was "her indoors" they would say. I might be wrong though but that's what it means to me

That's interesting, never heard of that phrase before!
