After just logging in, the incredible thing for me to see was that PF has now said that NB may have made it out to sea, after yesterday saying this was "impossible".

I know. I haven’t been this confused since my mum went to the loo 40 odd years ago and came out with a baby! My little brother had decided he wasn’t going to faff around with hospitals and out he came!

I wonder why Police haven't released a clear, sharp CCTV/doorbell image of Nicola en-route, with Willow, close to where she was last seen.

You think this would be a better memory-jog for anyone who had seen her.

The image we have is "NB" at her house in Inskip, 4 miles / 10 min drive away from the school.

This is a rural village in NW England. Not London. Have you seen the country roads that connect Inskip to St Michaels on Wyre?

I wonder if or when, LE will go back to the drawing board and throw out their hypothesis that NB went into the river?

Re: the decoy cctv theory (and not naming names so I don’t get deleted). I think the idea would be:

- NB took children to school as usual, but left dog behind that morning (perhaps under impression someone else would walk dog, or perhaps plans to drive on somewhere to meet someone so can’t take dog, who knows)
- Phone could be left at home. If I’m late for the school run and you can’t find your phone, you just have to go anyway. Kids can’t be late. Mornings are a stressful time in most houses.
- Decoy walks dog out of house past CCTV. If it’s a Ring doorbell, there’s no timestamp in full screen mode. It’s just when you screenshot the image on your phone. Although you’d thing LE would ask to see the original recording. But an individual released the stills to the media, that’s how we’ve seen the images.
- A decoy individual does NBs dog walk in similar dress, hence the sightings. And places phone and harness.
- A different individual intercepts NB after school run

IMO likely? No. Possible? Maybe.
I don't mean this to sound rude, but would this really be possible? They look similar in many ways but many people of a similar age/height/build wearing similar clothes would. I'm not convinced the police would be fooled, nor would many people. I think perhaps the lack of new info is just fuelling wilder and wilder speculation.

Maybe there isn't one to release?
Police have said they have enough CCTV (apart from the blackspot they are still appealing for)
to confidently say she didn't leave.

But what if their way of identifying NB is via the dog Willow?
As NB in the large black coat may well just look like a blob on CCTV.
And as people have mentioned, she looks like a lot of mums.

Maybe it wasn't NB walking Willow?
Just my opinion, obviously.

"I recognised the dog, but couldn't remember who it belonged to"

I'm so sorry this is probably something that has been talked about multiple times, but the conference call she was on.....was she only listening and not talking? Did anyone hear anything?

Be gentle. I've been immersed in the Murdaugh trial ;).

New poster here. This is JMO, MOO but…
I think (?) the police have said they haven’t released all details yet. But they were certain she went in the river. Her father had stated she had no health problems so we believe her to be physically strong and fit. What if she was ( early stages) pregnant? In initial stages it’s quite common to feel faint and woozy. It could explain why she may have suddenly had a bad turn and fallen in. And if feeling weak dizzy etc she couldn’t get out easily. This would be sensitive enough not to release maybe especially if it was very early days and family weren’t aware?
Just a thought…?
JMO, MOO
Thanks

This isn’t a bad theory, actually.

IMO, with all the extensive and specialist search efforts of the river taking place since the dissaperance, it now looks extremely unlikely that this can continue to remain the Police's main hypothesis. It will be interesting to see how much more effort, if any, they put into the river searches after PFs team have exhausted their efforts and just where their focus shifts in the investigation. All the publically available information from MSM and LE really only leave us with two options IMO: 1) Incapcitated (with/ without third party involvement) and still in the 1km search area 2) Voluntarily or involuntarily left the 1km search area undetected.

Is there any information which looks at content of teams phone call ?

Because NCA will know everything - and I mean everything - that Lancs knows, and possibly a bit more, and that's what they were being asked to sign off on (the whole investigation thus far), not what has been communicated publicly.

I think we're at cross purposes in this conversation.

yes, me personally - as a random person commenting on a forum - I do not believe I know better than LE, nor their partner agencies nor their peer review partners ( NCA & PNSA) whether that's the entire investigation or just the bits of info that the public have been told.

the link you have posted seems clear to me. Missing persons | College of Policing
They decided she was high risk because of the location. ' The risk of serious harm to the subject...is assessed as very likely.'
( If they thought that there was a high chance she'd fallen in a freezing cold body of water on a winter's morning, hypothermia can take hold in minutes etc etc there's a high risk of serious harm )

Willingly, of course not. Sometimes we loose the will & that cannot make sense to others or even that same person outside that condition.
I think If something happened along those lines it would have been spur of the moment, maybe something to do with the video call something that was said.

Is there any information which looks at content of teams phone call ?
Probably monthly patter, catch up, sales targets etc

I'm sure the police have spoken to all the other call attendees, if the content of the presenter had anything to do with the disappearance they would know that
Is that what you mean?

If anyone is interviewed by the police to give a witness statement does that make them a POI ?
no.
A POI is a suspect , a named suspect, usually in a murder investigation.
A witness to a crime is a much different thing.
If you saw somebody killing somebody or stealing and you informed the police and they believed you and took your statement you are then working to help the police to solve the crime and bring the criminal to justice. That's how it works here in Ireland in any case.
