Is there a reason why LE didn’t Report that it was the boyfriend and other friends who found them ? I’m surprised they omitted a huge chunk of this.

I find it very strange too; it seems like this is a huge thing to just not mention, or outright lie about? I’m actually confused now about who did find them.

My thoughts too, not even that person had a head start but that it is nearing almost a month after the fact now and person responsible for double murder is still not caught. Quite worrying on so many levels and also that this might turn into cold case.

With blood trail leading to certain exit, with at least one or more CCTVs on the street and neighbourhood and APR car recognitions cams in the area, multiple police assigned to this case, yes very worrying not seeing any results yet.

Another thought I entertained few weeks ago - if suspect was seriously injured he might have indeed seek medical attention anywhere else in London in following few hours or even days and not raising suspicion if claiming that he was himself attacked. It would not raise police eyebrows in other area as stabbings are so often in London.

There was middle aged man who died in other part of London next day after this murder due to stab wounds. (Sorry, don't have link as it was 3 weeks ago when I was checking). I know on the first look you would never connect those two incidents but think about it... it is very possible. Any such cases in following few days after the murder should definitely be checked out. Any of those injured/stabbed man anywhere in London could be the right suspect in double murder of the sisters.

The 18-year-old was arrested at an address in south London on suspicion of both murders. He was taken into custody where he remains.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Harding said: “Given the significance of this development, we visited the family in person today to inform them of the arrest. Our thoughts remain with them at this very difficult time.

“A team of forensic officers have been a constant presence at the park over the last few weeks carrying out meticulous fingertip searches at what is a vast and complex crime scene. Whilst that work has now concluded, smaller searches in outer areas of the park will continue.

To date officers have recovered more than 1,000 exhibits – including property belonging to both Nicole and Bibaa, collected hours of CCTV and visited hundreds of homes and businesses. And those enquiries remain ongoing.

Could this be linked to the initial arrest of the 36- year-old man arrested in south London - as both arrests are in south London which is quite a distance from Wembley

What a very interesting development in this case. Thanks for keeping us up to date. I'm kind of happy they have a suspect and hope in the end justice can be served for this women and the family. I'm very curious how the police traced him back to the murders, his motive (if there was one at all) and his "story" in general.

I had similar thoughts. No age limit on killers ( if it turns out to be this person ) but in my mind it was someone older.

They usually stab other young people though. An 18 year old allegedly killing two women in a park is quite unusual.

I understand/see what you mean, they being with the two of them, strong women. One of them working as a social worker probably had her share of dealing with difficult behavior. Maybe they didn't even see it coming, him being relatively young.

I think there was an element of surprise for sure. Either because he was so young or the act itself happened so fast.

Pure speculation on my part, but I can see how this may have played out. Say he may be hopped on something. Approaches them, part curiosity, mostly opportunist. Asks for money, gets aggressive. Pulls a knife and it escalates quickly.

They were strong minded ladies I think, I bet they werent going to allow themselves to be robbed.
