I think it is like an addicted person may react emotionally.
Alcoholics may be able to not drink when they feel strong, but getting angry or frustrated or anxious may trigger them.
Dieters may withstand temptation all day, but maybe a fight with a partner or a bad review by the boss can send them to the bakery after work?
If Guilty, I think LL may have had strong compulsions, which were very hard to deny. She might go weeks or months without doing any harm. But then for some unknown reason, allegedly, a pair of twins, or a baby girl about to be released, would set off something within her that she could not override.
I wonder what happened during her vacation, just before she came back on June 23rd 2016, to care for the identical triplets? Because she , as she said herself, "came back with a Bang!"
It seems, allegedly, that she was kind of out of control for those 3 days. Choosing healthy babies, 4 lbs each, with no underlying maladies, who were all her designated babies, and attacking them three nights in a row, out of the blue?
Was she ,allegedly, trying to get caught and end the nightmare? Or was the compulsion just too hard to deny at that time?
