Judge Goss is nearing the conclusion of his summing up now. He tells the jury they must 'reach a decision on all the evidence' and determine in relation to each alleged offence whether they can be 'sure of the defendants guilt or not'

Judge Goss says many of the children in this case suffered unexpected life threatening collapses, many of which medics says they had not witnessed the like of before. He says the Crown argue 'this is not a series of unconnected events'

He says the Crown argue that the collapses 'when put in context' with expert evidence, post mortem findings and all the other evidence (notes, handover sheets messages etc) the jury 'can be sure the defendant committed all the offences on which you are trying her'

He says the Crown argue that the collapses 'when put in context' with expert evidence, post mortem findings and all the other evidence (notes, handover sheets messages etc) the jury 'can be sure the defendant committed all the offences on which you are trying her'

Judge Goss says the defence Ms Letby denies harming any children. Her case is that was a hardworking, dedicated nurse. She never falsified notes and there was 'no sinister purpose' for her Facebook searches for parents of children in this case

The handover sheets, she says, where taken from the hospital in error and the notes - upon which she wrote 'I am evil' - were 'a product of despair'
Jury are currently out on a break, when they return there'll be a few administrative tasks and soon after they will retire to consider their verdicts
I have to say, I've grown to really appreciate, our pal, Mr. Dan....

He was almost always present and accounted for---often the ONLY reporter tweeting in real time. I applaud him for that.

I did use to complain sometimes, that his reporting was sometimes 'thin' on details compared to the Standard, for example. However, I have grown to appreciate that as time went on.

Sometimes I learned more from reading through his tweets, because he left out some of the extraneous details, but set forth the core of the testimony and the shape of each day came through. I didnt get lost in the details but came away with the big picture.

I want to thank you , @MrDanDonoghue, for all the effort and hard work you put forth for us all. It was quite a task and probably overwhelming at times. THANK YOU!

I'm thinking the same. I can't get on Twitter anymore. Is Dan tweeting anything?

No. Here's the original reporting where it specifies "at home":

She is asked about 'a large quantity of handover sheets' at Letby's home address. She replies there was "no specific reason" why she had taken them home.

She said she would have been aware she still had the handover sheets when she got home, and put them in a folder in the spare room.

She said she "didn't know how to dispose of them" and no-one else had seen them.

She said she would have seen those handover sheets at home "hardly ever".

She said she did not have a shredder and those sheets were at home 'inadvertently'.

So she did look at them. Despite saying they were just bits of paper that were ‘insignificant’ to her, and she had forgotten she even had them. Now we discover she ‘hardly ever’ looked at them. I take that to mean at some point she may have looked at them, which raises the question of whether she took out her little collection from time to time (‘hardly ever’) looked through them and then instead of disposing of them as she should have done in the first place, she put them safely back where she continued to keep them.

IMO that does not sound like ‘insignificant’ bits of paper. But the decision isn’t mine to make. It’s up to the jury now I just hope they get this right…

I preferred Mark from Chester Standard tbh  lol.

At least he'd tend to tell us when they'd gone for a lunch break or finished for the day. But I suppose attendance-wise Dan would win the award.

This was his last post:

But I sent him a reply:

for all the consistent effort and hard work you put forth for us all. It was quite a task and probably overwhelming at times. THANK YOU for a job well done!

[and he immediately liked it----so he is around, but nothing to post yet?]

I suppose there is a chance we could be waiting a long time for a verdict, the jury could possibly spend a day discussing each case which could mean a 4 week deliberation! Maybe the ones with a clear IMO link such as babies F and L, O & P plus others could take less time to decide. But with a ‘day’ only being around 4.5 hours, it might take a very long time, especially given these 12 jurors have been unable to air their opinions for 9 long months. Now is their chance to finally speak up. 4.5 hours will fly by for them with all 12 wanting their turn to share their thoughts. Oh to be a fly on the wall in that room!
