Defo, though I think the texts asking the colleague to update her are suspicious.forgot about that little fishing expedition! I don't know what your experience is in Mary but in mine, for most people a handover is enough!

Indeed. Home is home, work is work for me.

I literally can't post or link anything here as it would be breach of T&Cs but a few months ago on the *outside* internet, on a well known discussion threads site, I read a theory about insulin and a different member of staff. That's why this insulin debate has now got me shook up again.

It defies belief but what if there were two people both being harmful?

And without being aware of each other they both just happened to target one baby each in the the same two sets of twins?

No. Just no. That's not likely at all IMHO.

Along with her telling the police that she hadn't been aware that Baby F had any blood sugar problems!

Would both attackers target BOTH sets of twins?

Two sets of twins, and both had identical types of double attacks---one poisoned by insulin, the other by Air Embolism?

Two random staff members happen to attack two sets of twins, months apart. And each time, the twins are attacked on back to back nights, but by two different attackers?

Well, though it sounds incredibly unlikely, there was a similar case wasn't there many years ago when there were a group of killer nurses. Too much anecdotal evidence pointing towards letby. Several people were creeped out by her.
From the lingering around baby loss parents, to baby E's mums testimony, the doctor who said she was acting animated over the baby box, to the gut feeling of Dr RJ, the getting annoyed about the nurse calling for help, the spotting a baby on the brink of death in a darkened room...

Possibly only in the tiny chance that the two people were in some form of collusion, or competition, consciously or unconsciously even - I'm going into deep dark realms* of the psyche when I speak to that possible phenomena.

*and also what I would personally call 'demonic forces'

Well, in the off chance there were two staff members in collusion or competition, and were competing for who could attack more babies, I wouldn't be worried about one of them being falsely charged with a couple extra attacks. If LL did 20 0f the charged crimes instead of 22 , I am not too concerned. Close enough for me.

I believe this strays way outside of a reasonable doubt.

I do wonder if she has sat in the dock over the last 9 months and thought “ yikes …. You got that bit right / wrong “ during the Prosecution case.
Of course that would only apply if Guilty naturally.

"Mr Johnson said: "And killing these children, you got quite a lot of attention, didn't you?"

Letby said: "I didn't kill any children."

Mr Johnson said: "You are getting quite a lot of attention now, aren't you."

Letby did not reply.

When I sat on a jury I was very much younger, but the foreman suggested we look at the more serious allegations first then work back. (Nothing as challenging as murder or attempted murder though!)
I really hope they have a good foreperson taking the lead but listening to all opinions.

Indeed. Home is home, work is work for me.
And me. But some years ago when I was still working, there was a staff member who couldn't let go. Even on her monthly RDO, she kept phoning to see if the staff on duty had remembered to do this, that and the other! This to people who had often worked there as long as she had, if not longer. AFAIK, everyone was polite because she was a nice enough person, but it was very annoying.

I can see A storyline here. Definitely a book in it. Not a tale of two star crossed lovers but a tale of two wire crossed killers who unknown to all including themselves compete for a tally of inflicted pain At all levels.

When I told my husband the jury had a question for the judge, he said: Was it "Where do you buy your wigs?"

Today’s the day folks, just after lunch we will have a verdict. I bet the shredder on it.
