IMO
Each charge is treated separately.
Just thinking out loud, 7 children died in suspicious circumstances enough to bring murder charges , so if one fails the BARD then is it likely all will if the circumstances of death are the same, obviously the opposite applies on a guilty result.

I s

the jury have been instructed to consider a guilty verdict applicable to other charges ie if you find her g of one charge you may take it into consideration for the other charges.
Thank you.

Not necessarily. Some counts have alot of circumstantial evidence surrounding them, which can support a guilty murder verdict, whereas some have very little additional evidence, meaning they may have to go with NG on some. It depends on how much they apply that rule from the judge about using the pattern approach (imo)

So is it the case then that everyone the jury file back in and LL is brought back up, she thinks she is going to meet her fate but then they just ask another question? She must be getting psyched.

No she will know it’s just a question not the verdict.
Until the jury asks it nobody will know what it is.

Bet the cells at court aren't too comfy either. No TV's or family photos. Just a blue rubber Mat to lie on and an aging magnolia wall.

And eating a LOT of boiled eggs.
It’s the cuisine of choice for prisoners as they can’t be messed with if you get my drift.
I would be screwed as I hate eggs ( except in cakes obviously ! )

So, back from North Wales, and I managed to check my phone only a few times. No decision today.

Oh well, but I did drive though Chester on the way there, and again on the way back... ;)

I'm sure you won't forget, but just in case - remember that they're only deliberating from 12-4 tomorrow!

So they're starting at noon tomorrow, will they take a lunch hour or just an extra smoke break, what do you think?

  • #751
I hope not !

No doubt they will have a lunch break.

'Smoke break' I still laugh! Most unpalatable to the NHS workforce these days!

For a multitude of reasons. But predominantly my husband’s health and recovery being my main concern, I haven’t been able to spend the time reading all the posts on WS I did nearly have a heart attack myself when I popped on and read that LL had been found not guilty but that must have been spam.
I think that the jury have made their minds up on most of the charges and are now revisiting the more tricky. <modsnip: sub judice> For the families of the babies lost and hurt I hope a verdict is delivered soon

Sorry to hear about your husband. Can understand the need to dip in and out of WS.
<modsnip: quoted post was snipped>
I hope you are doing okay x

So why do they have to give 22 verdicts?
If, as you suggest, 1 could be enough?

Thank you @esther43 x
My husband is recovering well from his heart attack, I’m just now in a state of constant anxiety looking after him.
I try to dip in and out of WS’s as often as I can and like I said in the above post whoever decided to spread that LL was no was obvi just a nasty troll x

She is charged with 22 offences, they must return verdicts on each.
