“During a later set of verdicts, Letby refused to come up from the cells, and was found guilty of more murders in her absence.”

It was the conclusion I had come to myself after hearing all what we did. My thoughts go out to those babies and their families who’s lives has forever been changed. And also to the jury who had some job and pressure on their hands.

She was found guilty by a series of partial verdicts, delivered several days apart, with the judge issuing reporting restrictions until the end of the trial.

Letby cried during some of the verdicts, while families of her victims sobbed and comforted each other as the jury read out its findings. One member of the jury also cried and held her head in her hands.

She was also found not guilty of two charges of attempted murder. The jury was unable to reach verdicts on six further counts of attempted murder.

Letby's mother, Susan, broke down sobbing as her daughter was led away from the dock, whispering "you can't be serious, this can't be right," into her husband's arms.

bbsaz, the late start was last Thursday. The judge explained to the jury he had to deal with other unrelated matters and they had nothing to worry about. We were hanging around until about 11:45 before the usher called us in. Nerves on edge that's for sure.

The attempted murder charges were the sticking points. Big mistake charging as AM when they could have just brought simple assault charges!

I’m at bloody pleasurewood hills with my daughter could someone clarify which are guilty and if any, not guilty?

Question now for those who have followed the evidence closely, do you agree with the verdict?

Nurse Lucy Letby has been found guilty of murdering seven babies on a neonatal unit, making her the UK's most prolific child serial killer in modern times.
The 33-year-old has also been convicted of trying to kill six other infants at the Countess of Chester Hospital between June 2015 and June 2016.
Letby deliberately injected babies with air, force fed others milk and poisoned two of the infants with insulin.
Since Wednesday, Letby has refused to appear in the dock for the verdicts.
