It has been reported that LL’s mother had a difficult, traumatic delivery with ll. I know we’re not 100% sure this is true since the original source was apparently ll. ( or her mother could have told the friend?)
If true, and LL’s mother had an extremely traumatic delivery, it’s possible she was not able to have any more children after ll, or her doctors advised against it for safety reasons. We don’t know if their decision to have one child was by choice, or medical reasons.
So in this case, imagine if ll were aware that because of her own birth, her mother couldn’t have any more children? She would carry the weight of that and perhaps her parents reminded her of this at times? Imagine how that might make a child feel, and lead to feelings of guilt and twisted thinking. Could this be why she targeted multiples? She missed out on the experience of a sibling— so they should too?
These would be unconscious feelings and thoughts that led to her twisted, murderous behaviors, I think. I don’t think she even understood her own motivations.
Just a thought I had and IMO.
Edited for clarity.
