I don’t know how I feel about this being dramatised to be honest.
It’s harrowing and certainly not for entertainment but I suppose that’s what all true crime TV is and I can’t get enough of them sadly.

If it is accurate I don't have any issue with it but if you start missing parts out that's when issues arise, like that nonsense NY article that was released recently only telling 10% of the story.

No doubt she will be utterly delighted if she is played by Jodie Comer !

I think she will attend just to get out for a while

Possibly the more pressing question is can BM be bothered showing up later today ?

I will be back at Manchester Crown Court later for the re-trial of Lucy Letby - she is accused of attempting to murder a premature baby girl known as Baby K - the trial however is unlikely to get underway until later in the week

Now, who has the cake? :)

But in all seriousness, looking forward to talking over this case with all of you again.

What time is this due to get underway today?

  • #190
12pm. Not much going on from what I have been told by someone who is there.

  • #191
Adjourned until 2:15pm

  • #192
Is she actually present?

  • #193
Letby is present, nothing else of note to report at the moment.

  • #194
Anyone know if her parents and JC are there this time ?

  • #195
I wonder whether she'll give evidence this time round?

On Monday, June 10, jury selection began in the trial, with the judge, Mr Justice Goss, informing potential jurors: "There has been a previous trial in which you will have been aware. The jury tries the case on the evidence, therefore you should not speak or communicate with anyone about this case at all."

He added that jurors should not research into anything to do with the case.

Potential jurors were sent home for the day whilst legal matters, which cannot be reported, were discussed between prosecutor Nick Johnson KC and defence counsel Ben Myers KC. The trial is estimated to last up to four weeks. Letby, of Hereford, denies the offence.

I think we might but it's 50/50.
They don't get to see her very often I doubt, might as well make the most of it.

Does anyone know how often people are allowed to visit? Given that she is obviously a very high category prisoner and newly convicted, will she be allowed fewer visits?
