Appreciate that but in this case it's clearly trying to direct and influence public opinion. And very blatantly so from that write-up of the press conference. It's so riddled with tabloid-type 'bombshell' speak. It's not remotely a good or credible look for the Defence Team.

JMO etc etc
When they need to resort to these tactics it's because the argument alone doesn't stand up, so it needs to be bolstered with a media campaign of misinformation.

And where is the evidence of sepsis in that opinion piece?
The opinion piece that simply regurgitates the claims made by Dr Lee.

There is also no trace of a "Dr Leslie O'Looney" outside that publication...

"Until there is a definitive finding
that this new panel has convincingly undermined the evidence that was put before the courts,
then we should continue to respect the original convictions.

That this new report has made so many waves,
and seems to have changed so many minds,
says little about the legitimacy or otherwise of Lucy Letby’s conviction.

It merely shows
the disturbing willingness of so many to believe in her innocence,
regardless of what the evidence actually says."

That's it. If they have new evidence then I'm all ears but I can't see any reason to believe any of the claims. There's nothing to back them up and many can be rebuked by a layperson googling the medical evidence during the trial.

I'd thought it was a pseudonym for a journalist who might or might not be medically qualified. It gives them 'LOL', ha ha - not of course very appropriate for this topic.
Edited to add, I checked and it's a regular contributor, not a specialist opinion piece.

The same question applies. Where do they get sepsis from, when no sepsis was recorded on the post mortem?

But further investigations did reveal evidence of air embolism. They didn't find any evidence of sepsis. Plus blood tests demonstrated any lung infection was improving until Baby D suddenly collapsed. They even made a strange claim about a "serious blood clotting condition". Again, is NO evidence of that.
<modsnip - personalizing>
