Exactly this M
Nobody would want to believe a young nurse could do this but she did plain and simple.

i still find it hard to believe, but here we are. If people are having a wobble they just need to listen to the transcript of Nick Johnson's closing speech.

It's becoming rather seedy and unpleasant, imo. It's horrible, quite frankly. The mainstream media need to start calling these types out but I doubt they will.

What it is most of all and so egregiously so is a really grim failure on the part of the MSM.

They've not just stopped doing their objective job, they've actively embraced a world where facts have no more weight than click-bait opinion. And all because £££s.

Depressing doesn't even begin to touch the damage they've done both to their own profession and the victims of what they've enabled with their deeply cynical and opportunistic 'every opinion counts' stance.

It’s beyond depressing that news whether reported correctly or not is all just revenue.
Letby is a cash cow to the news organisations …. For now at least.

I for one can't believe how long this has gone on for and for how long articles have been published since. I was expecting it to die down tbh but its remained consistent if not gained a bit of steam since the conference.

It’s going to run and run.
I am expecting new charges in due course.

Ten onrechte veroordeelde verpleegkundige Lucia de Berk (63) overleden

Wrongfully convicted nurse Lucia de Berk (63) has passed away

Lucia de Berk, the nurse who was wrongfully sentenced to life imprisonment, has passed away at the age of 63. This has been confirmed by her former solicitor, Stijn Franken, after contacting her family. De Berk passed away after a short illness.

The case is considered one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in Dutch history. De Berk was arrested in 2001 for seven murders and three attempted murders in hospitals in The Hague. She was initially sentenced to life imprisonment and received the same sentence on appeal.

No direct evidence, such as DNA traces or fingerprints, was found in the case. However, according to the Public Prosecution Service, De Berk was on duty remarkably often when patients died and had made false statements.

In 2008, the Supreme Court ruled that the case had to be reopened, and in 2010 she was granted a definitive acquittal.

RIP Lucia de Berk

There has been a large document download on the Thirwell website this evening.

I am new here but I thought DNA was circumstantial too, not direct? RIP Lucia de Berk.

There is a school of thought which says that all evidence is circumstantial to one degree or another.

You just know that her death is going to be another opportunity for a swathe of Letby articles and comparisons

She was.

The issue I now see on the horizon is that Letby supporters are going to start bringing up her case and drawing comparisons where there are none.

OT but after reading your post, I searched WS for de Berk's thread, but nothing came up. Is there really not a thread on her here? If not, wonder why not.

Lucia's case actually was based on misinterpreted statistics, unlike Letby's but her supporters can't seem to see that and attempt to draw comparisons where there are none. The chart shown in the trial just showed she was on shift but it was the volume of other evidence that convinced the jury of her guilt.

This is is why LL supporters are so desperate to give the impression that stats were central to the case. Fortunately nobody made that mistake.

Thing is though, the stats ARE damning for Letby and her supporters.
