I can't think of any other reason why he would go there. Aside from just wanting a little holiday as a plus. He's got no credentials to argue with Dr Bohin and that's not mentioning just how unprofessional it is if that's why, unless it's just another media attention grab.

The media circus is all he has.

It's beginning to come over as creepy/stalkerish behaviour, quite frankly.

Unsettling.

Speaking of creepy, weird stuff. Joined a fb group about her and yes it's genuinely disturbing. People talking about sending her mail and lots of love and praise. Reminds me if the Ian watkins situation and his manipulation of fans. Its stomach churning really. It actually rings a bell of deep worry and concern in my stomach. Idolatry of these people I will never understand.

Genuinely it's so dark like a solid but twisted and blinding black to put it poetically.

It's the same with Richard Allen. He is a self- admitted, convicted child killer and they send him money, cards, etc.
It is seriously frightening and stomach churning.
Chris Watts still gets tons of fan mail.
It is a very strange timeline we are in and I wish it would end.

To be fair, it's not just the past few years that this type of thing has come into being. Peter Sutcliffe got loads of fan mail during his time inside - mostly from young women, as did Charlie Manson. I reckon pretty much every major serial killer did. The Menendez brothers I think both ended up getting married inside and were never short of female admirers. Same for Jeremy Bamber, I believe.

Going back hundreds of years, people used to queue up to dip handkerchiefs into the blood of executed highwaymen and Pirates, and suchlike.

Admittedly, the current state of virtually instant dissemination of someone's thoughts to the entire world does put quite a weird spin on things. And, yes, it does make the extreme weirdos seem very prominent in a way they never were before.

Humans are just weird, quite frankly.

I know of some personality dispositions that aren't in reality bad or weird, they think they are going to fix them. What I wonder about is the scale of it. Yeh Ian watkins story is that he was being extorted in jail, people knew he could get money so pressured him for that. I believe his own money ran out and then he started getting g fans and followers to send it in and that too dried up. But yeh who genuinely in their right mind would send him money? Seems true of all of them.

Or even Birmingham where the CCRC is based! Guernsey does seem an unlikely venue.

Maybe he's run out of willing mainland interest and is reduced to plying his grift offshore to whoever and wherever will have him.

You are absolutely right. The same thing happened to Ian Watkins. From everything I have read he was also being extorted.
He must have run out of money.

Killer obsession is weird, but what really disturbs me is the other side of that coin, namely the vitriol aimed at anyone to do with the prosecution, especially Dr.Jayaram. I've seen some shocking racist comments which I find quite alarming.

Agree. I find that far more disturbing because it seems so agenda-led.

This world.

Sure, they could be. But they could also be reality. And the jury had a lot more evidence to consider which was more important and impactful than these notes.

If the only 'evidence' was the notes, then I'd agree they might be irrelevant. But they were added to some very important witness testimony , medical reports and her own testimony on the stand. In light of all of the other things, the handwritten thoughts had their place in deliberation. IMO

These notes did not just say things like 'I am worthless, and no good.' They were saying I INTENTIONALLY DID THIS , I AM EVIL.

That is one big step further than just I am worthless. And it is important to note that these notes were found among other notations in her journal, where she had made notations about some of the medical incidents she was charged with. Why is a nurse writing medical notes like that in her daily journal/calender?

Why was she routinely taking home private medical paperwork that was legally not allowed to leave the clinic? She had hundreds of those Daily Logs that were not supposed to be taken off the premises---many in a box under her bed. These stolen papers were considered in context with her journal notes and possible 'confessions' that were also in her possession.

Saying that the jury should not have been shown any of her journal writings does not make sense to me. They are investigating the suspect. They should see her writings and her thoughts from that critical time period, imo. l

IMO
The appeal has the whiff of ..trying to gain freedom through a technicality when outright innocence cannot be proved .

If she looked like rose west she wouldn't be getting as much airtime JMHO

I find it strange how posters manage to share all the insane garbage they claim is posted in forums (I will add with no links, so it really shouldn’t be shared on here as it is also not your opinion), whilst reading both innocent and guilty posts on a variety of mediums ( yep you lot have forced me to have to look on sites I would have never entertained previously)- I still don’t see anything that reflects what you post- can we not go back to discussing the case with some sort of objectivity and intelligence instead of supporting your opinions with unsubstantiated claims that other forums apparently dictate and then everyone agreeing with no basis- the discussion on this forum about the actual case is lacking.

Off you go then, Ruth.

Let's have your take on what you regard as proper objective and intelligent discussion so we can be guided towards it.

The floor is now yours.
