'Clarence killed her children after tricking their nanny into leaving her alone with them.

Gary Clarence was on holiday in South Africa with their eldest child, eight year-old girl Taya, at the time of the attack on the evening of 22 April this year.

The nanny, Jadna Coelho, known as Jade, looked after the children at her own home during Easter and texted their mother to say they were 'happy and healthy'.

But on April 21, Clarence sent a series text messages asking her to bring them back to the family home in New Malden.'

'The court also heard tributes from teachers to the children.

Ben and Max were described as "chatty, full of smiles with a real sense of fun".

They were "eager for new experiences," Miss Johnson said.

Olivia was "unwaveringly cheerful and positive" and "very matter of fact about her disability," she added.

Olivia "loved dinosaurs and she loved dressing up as a princess," she said.'

Everyone just stopped tweeting the trial at lunch and didn't come back. No idea what's happening.

There is still a possibility judge will announce sentence today, but nothing's certain

I've got so used to South African trials with Oscar Pistorius and Shrien Dewani, I really thought the court had all just decided to adjourn for the day after lunch. I forgot English trials tend to use the whole day - and English reporters who cover them to drop live coverage halfway through, without warning. :( Only Jane Peel's continued.

Mum Wrote To Husband Between Child Killings - Tania Clarence court case http://ow.ly/2QGnjR

*I hope to heaven the children didn't stay in the same room. It's horrible to think one might have had to watch siblings die, then wait while mother wrote a letter, for his or her turn. :( The daily mirror reported that police said the crime scene was 'grotesque', with toy cars etc, placed around the chidren's heads. It also said many details of the scene were too distressing to report.

'A social worker assigned to the family of Tania Clarence, who killed her three disabled children earlier this year, was unexpectedly replaced amid fears she was geeting too close, a court has heard.....

The reaction of the original social worker was to resign.

Miss Johnson said it was “perhaps an ill-conceived decision” to have replaced her.'
