Some do, e.g. to see Changing of the Guards, I mean from overseas.

Then there is tourism within the UK e.g. the loyal subjects heading to London for some event or other. Probably brings in a bit of money.

How many tourists come to see the Royals, I do not know, but definitely more than none.

JMO
It would be good to see an audit done on what the royals actually cost and benefit ratio to tourism.

Sorry but I couldn’t disagree more.
They cost the taxpayers a ‘Kings ransom’.
Tourists do not come to see the Royals.
Yes we do!

I agree the king can do what he likes in providing for his brother. It just seems to me that Charles is not doing enough because he is simply moving Andrew from one public home for the royal family to one private home also for the royal family. I don't see that as a negative consequence for Andrew. I get it that Andrew might have difficulty living away from Royal family properties due to security issues, but why doesn't Charles cut the strings entirely. That would be good optics IMO.
You mean let him loose?!

It would be a bit ironic if Andrew finds himself living in York Cottage!

All men are equal
But some are more equal than others. ;)

Just a variation of British writer's famous quote :D

AFAIK, the latest source of stuff/emails which have exposed AMW as a liar, imo, is from another lawsuit unrelated to THE 'Epstein files'.
How much closer are we to the Epstein files actually being released?

Andrew and Epstein were pictured together in New York's Central Park in December 2010, in a meeting Andrew later claimed was to end their friendship.

The correspondence was released on Friday in unsealed court documents from a 2023 legal battle between the US Virgin Islands, where Epstein owned a private island, and JP Morgan, over its alleged dealings with the billionaire. The bank settled the lawsuit.

The documents show Epstein forwarded the email to Mr Staley, who was banned from holding senior finance roles by the Financial Conduct Authority in 2023 after he was found to have misled the regulator over the nature of his relationship with the disgraced billionaire.

Everything about Mandleson's good friendship and business dealings with Epstein seem to have gone very quiet.

Will he be paying rent though? I thought Charles was paying everything for him, as to not make locals pay for his living expenses.
It is privately owned by the Royal Family thus no taxpayer money goes there. Whether he pays rent or not is up to Charles. The King is funding his brother on his dime.

As much as I loved Queen Elizabeth, I really think she should have dealt with the “Andrew” situation. Leaving it to Charles was unfair.

Democrats investigating Jeffrey Epstein have intensified their calls for Britain’s former Prince Andrew to answer questions about his links to the disgraced financier, days after King Charles stripped his younger brother of his title.

The calls for testimony from Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, as he is now known, came as new emails emerged showing he suggested a “catch-up” with Epstein just months after the notorious pedophile was released from prison.

Several Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee told the BBC that Andrew should voluntarily testify before Congress. Rep. Suhas Subramanyam, D-Va., said Saturday that if the former prince “wants to do right by the victims, he will come forward,” noting that his name had been mentioned “many times” in survivors’ accounts...

Why are they only interested in Andrew unless this is a media led anti Monarchist witch-hunt?

There were many very wealthy/powerful Americans who ‘should’ step forward first in my opinion.

Ask your home grown degenerates before crossing the pond to bring down the Monarchy.

Worth a read imo.Epstein ,Conduct unbecoming!!!!

We've seen the Royal Family make solid decisions after learning that Andrew and Sarah publicly stated that they would terminate association with Epstein, and then they privately pursued that association.

What more do people want? That he is homeless, penniless, in prison even though he has never been charged with, or convicted for, a criminal offence? How much is enough? Is this about reasoned justice, or focused anger?

When do those in pursuit of justice for Epstein victims turn towards the many other associates of Epstein, and all those who recruited teenage girls to be victimized by Epstein?

Baying for his blood even though he’s never been charged with a crime.

He is a known liar, so are thousands more. Is lying now a crime?

VG was of legal age, IF he was involved with her in Britain.

She also accepted a generous remuneration for her ‘time’. (Not referring to the settlement from the Queen)

If this is Justice, God help us all.

Right now we should all be concerned about the many people in positions of power who are on that list.
Andrew no longer has any power, let's move on to those who do .

Inside of a prison if he commited a crime, he paid that this didn't happen, entitled toff, he'll never be a commoner just because he's no longer a prince, he's the son of the late queen, he's the brother of the present king, utter filth.I've no time for royalty but you'd expect something better if they're to prance the world stage.

I have half wondered if she was hoping William would somehow be the one to deal with it. I don't think Andrew would have gotten off nearly so lightly if William had been handling it. MOO

Clinton should be in prison if he committed a crime, but no charges are filed. Same with Andrew. No charges. Same with everyone who coerced teenage girls and young women to be victims of Epstein. No charges. In the US, if one person drives another person to a location to commit a crime, both are guilty of the crime ... except when it involves ushering a child to be criminally exploited. Then, only the pedophile is guilty. The accomplice, except Maxwell, is given a pass.

I think it's important to clarify why Andrew has been exiled by, and from, his family. Andrew and Sarah declared publicly that they terminated all association with Epstein. That was never true. Shortly afterward, they contacted Epstein to confirm that their friendship with him was unchanged. This information was first exposed in January of this year, and compounded last month with new information about Sarah.

Lying about their association with Epstein places everything Andrew and Sarah said about Epstein in question, which is specifically important for a member of the Royal Family. The Royal Family is held to a higher standard.

This is a nice opportunity for anti-monarchists to surface and argue against the importance of the Royal Family in upholding family values, culture and tradition. Andrew was dishonest, therefore the entire family should be removed ... old money should be dispersed to the masses ... like the French and Russian revolutions. I think that goes too far.

I suggest leaving old money alone, and be thankful that the UK is not an autocracy. Imagine that someone accused of benefiting through association with Epstein became leader of the United Kingdom to form a one party autocracy! That's worth fighting ... but not a disgraced man who lied about his association with a pedophile.
