I agree KD was taking the bigger risk and so would probably give JI less, but then KD couldnt have moved the stuff without JI. I can believe he didn't give him anything or maybe promised him £500 rather than half, but that figure of 5k just seems to fit nicely with NM saying he promised to pay 10k

Yeah, good points. If nothing else I guess it might show KD was honest enough not to screw over a mate....!

Something else I was thinking is that NM probably used a torch rather than turning the lights on because he didn't want anyone in the street to know he was up and doing things. That's backed up by JI now as well (the not turning the lights on).

Seems very unlikely then that NM invited them all in for a coffee/cigarette after finishing moving the stuff. I'm disappointed that the prosecutor talked about this seemingly mythical argument (always subject to new evidence emerging, obviously!) almost as if it were fact, when he surely knew it was dubious at best.

Maybe he used the stungun/torch. I do hope he didn't disturb SH if he had to get it out of their room

Off of topicc, but sadly perhaps very much in the topic - What a bunch of good for nothing citizens these all are!

Spongers who live at tax payers expenses... young people not working or working and being payed doing nothing (like JI)... These young women/men being at home and having their premises like pigpens... not even cooking decent meals... living on junk food...being parents...

What does this kind of people has to offer as behaviour, morals, education and civility to their children and to society?!

Ohhh I use to be optimistic but i can't see a good end for our humankind in the future with societies led by the descendants of all this scum!

They all want to be entitled to everything, but what is their contribut for it?

Where's the balance betweeen rights and duties?!

I get the impression that lying is the default option with all of them

What's difficult in this trial, is the most crucial witnesses are on trial themselves.

I bet they all regret the day they ever met NM.

I posted a link on the previous thread. After unloading the box & bags into KDs kitchen, JI smoked a cigarette in the kitchen at Barton Court whilst NM & KD went into the lounge.

ETA Re the lights. They had gone to SH's mum to avoid the police searching CML. I agree that not wanting to turn the lights on could be because they didn't want anybody thinking they had returned to the house.

I think it's only NM and SH involved in the benefit fraud, working on the side and having the cluttered house.

JI and KD were working, even if they didn't have to do much and KD's brother was working as assistant manager in a shop.

James Ireland says had he known the truth he would never have got involved
James Ireland was asked a series of questions by his barrister Sean Hammond, where the 23-year-old said had he known the truth he would never have got involved.

You now know you moved packages containing the body parts of Rebecca Watts, how does that make you feel?– SEAN HAMMOND

Upset, shocked, and distraught, and disgusted.– JAMES IRELAND

When asked about his feelings towards friend Karl Demetrius, he replied:

I’m angry with him, upset with him, mixed emotions really.– JAMES IRELAND

Ireland was asked about the effect being arrested, and held on remand in prison, has had on his life.

He told the court he had been denied medication for his ADHD and Aspergers, before adding:

It’s ruined my life because I’ve been stuck away from my girlfriend, my mum, my brothers and sisters for something I didn’t know had happened and I wouldn’t have got involved in. – JAMES IRELAND

Had you have thought you were getting involved in anything of a criminal nature had you allowed yourself to get involved in that?– SEAN HAMMOND

No.

Crikey, don't know about you lot but I feel quite tired out at the end of every Court session -

and all I'm doing is sitting here reading and pressing the 'Thanks' button !! :sigh:

How the jury feel I just cannot imagine, so much to take in and weigh up.

Once all the items (save a rucksack) had been transported to 9 BC and moved into KD & JP's kitchen, who finally places all of them into the shed?

 • #71

IMO I do think JI had a 'squeeze' of whatever it was in the bags/bin. And from that he derived a though that it could be Cannabis resin... which is why he would of bragged to said 'mate' about a drugs haul..
He has stupidly snared himself along with JP KD for a verbal statement he might get something out of it.. whatever that maybe once the 'heat' had died down. But as we know it didn't and said packages were confiscated and found to be poor sweet BW. You know I do really think JI thought he was on for some easy cash. But as he stated to the Court just before Court adjourned. "It's ruined his life"
Smh 😩

Compilation from today's session in court just available in my OneDrive http://1drv.ms/1PTiBcr

In the last few days I have put in there not only the posts from the 'UK and Eire... ...' but also everything from the Bristol Post.

As here usually people posts from Twitter, this way we have 3 diferente fonts to read.

Lol, even having information from Twitter, Bristol Post and UK and Eire... most of the times we are in the dark about all this mess!

So many lies. Poor Becky. Sad...

Is it very possible there is so much more that is being hidden from the general public about this case? I don't think the pro has done a good job meaning, so much more he could have picked apart, are we just hearing a certain part of the story. I'm just baffled by the lot of it to be honest, can so many people be involved in the horrific murder of a beautiful 16 year knowing full well what has happened to her or is this the stark reality of youth these days think I'm feeling a little down about it all now :(

Is JI left out of moving the suitcases & bags from KD & JP's kitchen into the shed?

<snip>

Matthews told the court once he had travelled, in the back of the van, to the address in Barton Court, he [NM] then helped unload the boxes and bags into the kitchen. He told the court that is where he left them, before leaving the house to walk home.

The jury heard early the next morning Matthews again visited the house, to drop off the Eurohike rucksakc.

From NM's Full Confession:

"...I'm not sure how many days later, but on another day I [NM] took the body, the saw, and other items to 9 Barton Court, Barton Hill, and placed them in the garden shed.

I took them to this address with two other people. I did not tell them what was in the bags and the box, and said I would collect them in a few days. Both of the people are men but I do not want to name them."

From Summary of JI's Testimony today in court:

The court heard Ireland suggested Demetrius’ home, just a few metres away, and the trio set off there.
We then took the bags and the box out of the van and took it into 9 Barton Court. Ireland said the box had clothing on top, and he never looked underneath to see what else was in the box.

He added he didn’t unzip the suitcases and had no reason to do so, as he [JI] passed them into the kitchen.

He said he stayed in the kitchen to smoke a cigarette, while Matthews and Demetrius went into the living room.

The court heard Ireland and Demetrius left soon after, going straight back to work.

Ireland said until he was arrested he did not know what had happened to the suitcases, and what was inside them.

I think this is a good summary - can well believe he did touch the packages and also I believe he did know he was going to get paid, well, for this transfer.

I mean, logically, why would JI think that two of KDs pals would need a lift from Southmead to CML, for which JI would get paid £10, when the couple involved could get themselves a taxi for the same or less probably ?

Very good question - KD and JI go back to work, NM goes home. Cant imagine JP would want the boxes in her kitchen for long. Or did they transfer the boxes through the kitchen and out to the shed almost immediately ?

So, here we have three different versions of what happened to the bags once everyone got to 9BC...

1) NM left them in the kitchen of 9BC then walked back to CML.

2) NM (et al) placed them in the garden shed at 9BC.

3) JI "passed them into the kitchen" and has no idea what happened to the bags after that.

Where is the truth...in any of this mess?

Are you suggesting this is where DD comes in?
