Maybe lol. If I was pocketing 10k for doing something that a friend had helped with, I'd feel bad if I didn't give them something too.

Yeah but you're not KD lol. When JI told one of his friends about "moving stuff", the friend said something along the lines of "what was it, it could have been anything", at which point stolen property and drugs were discussed. It might be that after talking to his mate in the pub, JI asked KD some questions and that's when KD offered him the money. I'd have to check if there's a date when Bignell overheard KD/JI talking about holidays and compare that to the date of the pub conversation.

I know, that's why I said "maybe" lol. I agree it could have been after that convo that he got offered money but during that convo he also came up with the figure of 5k that just happened to be half of what NM was paying.

Bignall's statement says he heard KD and JI talking about holidays when they returned from CML/Barton Court on the night of Feb 23 - early hours of Tuesday Feb 24.

He said: "I saw them again ion that shift in two to three hours' time. They were together.

"They seemed in good spirits.

"They were very happy. They were talking about going on nice holidays with the money for the job.

"I asked them what they had done to get this money. They both gave me the cold shoulder.

"They did mention they were going to receive the money at the end of the week on Friday."

Edited to Add - the pub conversation between JI and one of his housemates was obviously later, as he was talking about the job he had done ( past tense )

Before closing JI's case, court heard a psychiatric report that said he had ADHD and registered on the autism spectrum.

He's not the one who said to JI that it could have been anything though, that was JI's mate in the pub. But yes this one thinks weed as well, which would probably be the first thought if he knew KD had a conviction for posession of cannabis (that was for personal use but was handily divided into little bags!) This one does back up what NM said about paying him on Friday too.

So pros never asked about a woman shouting or arguing?

Plus, it shows that already by this time, JI must have known he was getting more than £20 for this job, as he was talking about the good holiday he could have with the money

JI has an inability to decipher another's emotions and it was more difficult to draw inferences from a given situation

DD says he moved to his twin brother Karl's address because he was arguing with his younger brother

Was he even asked about that?

I dont believe so - not from everything I have seen on tweets and MSM.

So, another puzzle - was this just another fabrication by JI ?

But he says he never anticipated staying there long term, nor did he consider himself "living there"

Ah this could be why they're not going down the route of asking about the arguing

Ah thanks. Pub convo was on 25th

Yes, but he would still know if he had heard SH shouting. It doesn't matter what it was about, or what he inferred from it. If he heard SH shouting, that would prove that she was awake and not sleeping all the way through the removal of the parcels.

So, assuming that DD's evidence is completed by end of today..... is there then a gap or break in proceedings before Counsel put their closing arguments ? or will they be expected to start that - say - tomorrow morning ?

#BeckyWatts trial: DD had been arguing with his younger brother. Move to KD's wasn't supposed to be long term.

DD says he started having difficulties with his brother’s girlfriend Jaydene Parsons around three weeks after he had moved in

So despite the trial being tame and despite us thinking that the most important questions are not being asked, and the contradictions not being pointed out, people are still all forming the same opinion - that SH had to be involved. So, maybe the prosecution think that they don't need to do much, as the story being told is enough for anyone to believe SH is lying, and therefore guilty of something.

Have to keep in mind that the prosecution doesn't ask questions that they don't already know the answers to. The goal is not to find out what happened, that's the job of the police. From the brief snippets we're getting, it's hard to tell the tone of the cross-examination of SH, but I think he will build on all those denials in his closing speech.

ETA This is probably why the prosecution did not ask JI about the woman shouting. They are probably not confident enough that he was referring to SH.

I can only hope, based on this, that the Jury will be of like mind and able to see through all the lies and contradictions and find true justice for Becky. And, as we have said, we get snippets, they are getting the full outline, with exhibits etc.

I also have to place faith in the Prosecuting Barrister that he knows the best way to put the case to the Jury and despite my thinking oh why didnt you ask this, or that, he will know the right way to convince them of the facts.

Exactly, you sum it up well.
