Dion (and anyone else who thinks they're guilty) - do you think though that JI DD KD JP knew it was Becky from the start? Or just that they are guilty of assisting an offender who they thought had stolen goods or drugs?

I don't think any of them knew it was Becky or connected to her disappearance but I think JI will probably still get a guilty verdict. Kind of hope he doesn't though TBH

Um, no need for sarcasm ;)

1,Surely pathology would've mentioned if parts were frozen?
2, The freezer was in the hall, not the kitchen (a la cooker in the bathroom, also not plugged in/connected)
3, They/He was reluctant to use electricity.
4, It's already been stated that they didn't cook other than toast so what makes you think they'd have a freezer full of food?

We don't know for sure the freezer wasn't plugged in also I think if he can go out and buy a £70 saw he might stretch at using a bit of electricity for the freezer and we only have SH word for it about him being tight with money

For Reference

Sat February 21:
12:15pm CCTV shows NM/SH go to Asda in Bedminster and buy black bags, rubble sacks, rubber gloves, bleach and three rolls of cling film. They purchase £20 of electricity from a local shop.

Sun February 22: NM/SH caught on CCTV at Broadmead shopping centre, Bristol
11.33am NM/SH buy black rubble sacks, tape and a sponge from a 99p store
12.01pm NM/SH buy more rubble sacks and tape and a sponge
14.05pm NM/SH buy tape and cling film at Sainsbury's in Brislington.

Ok so we've never established where the rest of the kidnap kit is? The supposed mask never materialised along with the kidnap bag (which was later changed to suitcase)

Doubt, (for me) of where the actual dismemberment site was given the complete lack of Dna at NMS home.

Soo many unanswered questions where the pros had an opportunity to elaborate but failed to do so.

Grrr

I'm not sure they knew it was Becky, at the time they agreed to store the suitcases, because I don't think NM would risk telling them, and having them refuse, or go to the police, but they knew it was something illegal.

If they didn't know it was Becky at the time, they would have clued in very soon, and would have been in a panic about what to do. They didn't do the right thing and go to the police as soon as they suspected what was really in the shed. Perhaps they assumed NM would keep quiet and they would have a chance to get rid of the suitcases somehow, or maybe they just didn't know what to do.

If they were to get rid of the suitcases, it would be worse than just storing them IMO, as it would prove they were aware of the contents.

I had completely overlooked the fact that each court session has begun with the reading of 'agreed facts'. These are usually things that the defence can't disprove with a denial or 'lego bucket lie'.

I have no clue whether the freezer, facebook posts, or other things I feel weren't asked about are part of agreed facts. I hope some of them are.

In March NM wrote a letter to his mother from prison, where he said he was advised not to discuss the facts of case #beckywatts

Yes, I know, but it's not specified. It would fall under this section:

If you are summoned to go for jury service the judge has certain powers to:
put off your service until a later date
excuse you for that sitting or a particular trial or period of time if you have a good reason

Not relevant here but loss of income due to self employment is one reason

Yet she didn't think it odd that he was spending money on an electric saw just to fix a toilet, and a mega spend on cleaning products? I also found it odd that he would be tight about paying for electricity, yet live off takeaways which don't come cheap (especially SH's Dominoes orders!).

I would love to do jury service, but the two times I have been called up, I had to decline. First was a case which the dates given tied for me to attend (if I am remembering correctly, as it was 20 years ago) tied in with the dates a trial for rape was due to take place, and I knew the defendant from childhood.

The second time, I was a single mother of 4 young children and was working (ex was unemployed, so I receive no mainentance), so I had nobody to look after the children, and no way of coping financially if I couldn't go to work. Family lived 400 miles away at the time.
