Just thinking out loud here but could the unrecognised DNA on the masks mean someone else was involved?
I wonder if they checked SH/NM bedroom as thoroughly as they checked their bathroom.

It's sounding more and more like it didn't happen in the bathroom which leaves the question... where else could it have happened?
But it backs up NH's story that he strangled her! So confused. Did he think he'd killed her, but she came round and then 'someone' smothered her to shut her up?
Could NM have thought she was dead when he carried her out to his car, but was incorrect and something else happened afterwards?
Are those accused of storing the body parts more involved than we thought? At least one of them?
I'm so scared that if the case isn't proven, this pair could be getting off, at least partially, on technicalities and lack of evidence to back up the prosecutions' case.
Also, he/they would need an electrical outlet/extension cord to use the power saw.
Who would permit him/them to use their space? No one imo
If had been workplace or a shed, would have taken too many hours and/or other witnesses would likely have seen one or both in area/space.
Certainly, investigators are sophisticated enough to have checked other homes, sheds, workplaces to see if dismemberment had occurred in a location other than NM & SH's own home

That was my thought when we first heard he had claimed strangulation but the actual COD was suffocation.
NM thought he had killed her, but was SH smothering her the actual cause ?
I think the more important question is why would NM lie about it if it didn't happen in the bathroom? He's already admitted to killing Becky and dismembering her, how much worse can it be?! Is he covering for someone?!

Morse says could be from direct contact but can't exclude it could be from contact with other items with SH DNA on them which could transfer
Isnt there a back garden ? and only 8 cuts needed as I read it, should not take too long to do ( sorry, bit graphic that )
However, surely the garden has been gone over in detail, and some evidence would be there
I'm sure they would've checked the whole house after NM confession.
Or he strangled her, thought she was dead however she wasn't and died of suffocation during transportation.
Injuries to Becky's mouth and nose area are consistent with hand over mouth/nose suffocation according to forensic pathologist's testimony
I don't understand the confusion about the neck injuries. this has to do with Becky bleeding from the neck before death, not strangulation marks.
