See, he calls himself unintelligent and "basic thinking" but actually if you get past the "obviously" obsession then he actually presents in an intelligent way..his sentence structures, vocabulary and thinking aren't of someone who has limited intelligence...and also that is at odds with what others have said about his intelligence (TA witnesses)

Let's see, NM went over to Becky's house to teach her a lesson for being disrespectful to his mother. In the course of doing that, things got out of hand, and because NM has this, that, and other things wrong with him, he lost it and killed her. NM didn't mean to kill her, that's where the defense is going to go, and then he panicked. And, you know when you panic after killing your stepsister, the smartest thought that pops into your mind, I'm going to dismember her, wrap up body parts, and get other people involved in hiding the evidence. I'm not very familiar with trials and jurors in England, but over here I've seen enough trials and verdicts that has made my jaw drop to the ground. I hope I'm wrong, but I can see one or two jurors buy this, and will not see a murder.

It may well have been what happened but why would anyone take their girlfriend "who apparently knows nothing about anything that happened" along with them to teach someone a lesson? And how would the intended victim know what lesson they were being taught if you planned to wear a mask so they didn't recognise you. AND if you planned to wear a mask why pull up in your own car , that the victim would recognise on their drive? None of his story makes any sense.

Possibly although his explanation suggests otherwise

Don't forget he phoned up his mother to make sure his intended kidnap victim would be there when he turned up!

I wonder if he made up the kidnap story, thinking it would make people think he was a good son, just looking out for his poor old mum, against this apparently selfish, greedy and nasty teenager? Would he think that he'd get credit for trying to get Becky to treat his mum better?

I don't believe a word of it, just trying to work out why such a bizarre story would be used, when it clearly doesn't add up.

Says reversed parked car in Crown Hill drive.Normally parks on road but was gonna wash his car.

(in the rain of course)

Now if he had just said, I always back in so I can drive out easier, that would have been reasonable....but nope, he has to reverse to wash his car - I mean really ?? doesn't matter which end of the car you start with does it, when you're washing it
This sounds like he had in mind that he was taking Becky back home with him, one way or another, in the boot if necessary

Police:Were you aware of any music? NM :not straight away, was aware of music, but then says would have thought Becky had her music on

I wonder if there is a reason his interview is being read out to the court and not shown as it was with SH?
