I missed the scoop - assumed after 1pm.

Thanks for these links, going to go read.

What you all thinking for sentence for SW?
That's some serious violence, pre-meditation and duplicity with an attempt to frame a co-conspirator thrown in for good measure

I went to make a cuppa at the crucial time, as often happens !

I wondered about whole of life ? but if not, would hope for a minimum of 40 years - can they go that high or does that then go into whole of life territory ?

and I hope KW gets exactly the same

I agree Alyce. He's trying to say it was nothing, when he clearly had no respect for Sadie.

Plus, if he sold his house , then he should have capital from the sale ? unless he had a high mortgage to pay off

No amount of time would be long enough for SW. She should never be let out.

KW, I'm not sure. She's shown no remorse or willingness to come clean, so couldn't care less for Sadie's family. I say whatever the standard sentence is - is it 21 years?

The letter that SW sent Sadie is in Alyce's Mirror link. Wow. Most of it wasn't printed in the press during the trial. She really is one scary individual. How could IJ not see that from the letter alone? There is so much anger in it.

Indeed, it is blatantly obvious.

This bit is odd, to me....does SW mean that IJ had no money and could only survive with Sadie's help ?

he is aware that you are buying him and feels that this is his only way of coping financially, which is certainly not the case

He didn't have a job Alyce, his days were filled with ski-ing and volunteering for the mountain rescue.

Agree with you, he needs to STFU

Wonder what happened to his mum's inheritance? So Sadie had not put him in her will. Good.

The alleged abduction story - although the old newspaper snippet does not make sense, as SW claims she was abducted on The Wirral, and the snippet talks about Ludlow ?

Williams' attention seeking began as a child, when at the age of 13 the femme fatale sparked a nationwide manhunt after telling police she had been abducted as she cycled home from Wirral Riding Centre in Chester.

She told detectives her kidnapper grabbed her as he pretended to fix his car near the stables in January 1995.

Williams claimed the man locked her in the boot of a Vauxhall Cavalier and drove her to a house where she was told to cover her eyes as she was led up a path to a house and was allegedly subjected to a serious sexual assault.

Then she said the attacker put her back in the boot of the car and dumped her in remote countryside 30 miles from her home, where a passing lorry driver took her to a service station on the M6.

Her story of becoming victim to a kidnapper made many newspaper front pages, but despite a major investigation no one was ever caught.

I am hugely relieved that he was not in her Will. In fact, I wondered if that was why she had rented a property after selling her home. She wanted to move nearer to IJ, or rather nearer to where he had to live, due to his mountain rescue work, but did not want to commit to having a property that he might then be able to make a claim on at some later date.

loading so slow for me.

Ok I got it, he only found out after her death that he was not in her will.

ETA - thanks Alyce.
Interesting yes about the rental.
One paper describes it as an off-on relationship with Sadie......... so with the affair too, you can see why she wasn't going to start buying a house with him in 2015.

Of course he says in the MEN interview that they had a retirement planned together etc.

However a paper says that the affair first started in 2012, ( presume late 2012 as he was "ending" it with her her in Spring 2013) so the affair was on/off/ongoing in some form for 3 years yet he minimises it in the video to "a few texts". He never even uses the word "affair"

Most of this article is another poor me from IJ ...but here's an interesting bit that answers one question

It was Mr Johnston who first told the police Williams could be a possible suspect due to her texts to him.

so despite saying it was just a few silly texts, he immediately realised that SW might be responsible for Sadie's murder.....

Interesting article, I have just pulled out a few snippets. Explains why SWs barrister brought up the alleged abduction story.

SARAH Williams was drawn to older company from her late teens.

Her co-defendant, Katrina Walsh - herself 21 years the senior of Williams - told police her friend had been bullied over her lazy eye.

At the age of 18, Williams left secondary school in Birkenhead, Merseyside, and started looking for employment.

She endured "a bad start" to life when aged 13 she was dragged off her bike near the stables, bundled into a car boot and driven away.

Her barrister put forward the theory that it could explain her later mistrust of men and her irrational behaviour.

Barely two hours after police had smashed down her front door to arrest Williams,

A few new bits in here

Divorced and living in Buckinghamshire, Hartley had begun seeing Lancashire fireman Ian Johnston around 2006. With their distance and work commitments, they only saw each other a handful of times each year until 2011, when Johnston retired and she moved north to Cheshire.

A talented ski instructor, Johnston used the freedom of early retirement to start giving lessons at the Chill Factore

Williams’s reputation on the Cheshire circuit was of a serial mistress;

Walsh had proven a loyal and dedicated partner in crime for Williams – pouring foam into the car exhaust of a Thai boxer and ski instructor, and stalking his wife, after he jilted Williams.

So, if SW had a reputation, there is no way IJ would not have known about it. I know this part of the country, it's a very very small world.

I did not realise it was KW who put the foam into the Thai ski instructor's car
