Giving evidence on Wednesday, Sharif said: “Everything happened at home while I was at work.

……
Sharif told jurors that Batool was “very, very crazy”, pointing to video evidence she had abused him and forced him to jump out of a window to escape.

……
Sharif became emotional as he told jurors: “I used to jump through the kitchen window as she would lock the front door.

“Most of the time when she was angry I jumped through the living room window.”

…..

He added that she was “very, very crazy”, did not “care about anything at all”, and her family told him “someone has done black magic on her”.

From your link

"Sharif said he made a video on February 28 2016 after Batool accused him
of flirting with a hospital nurse
and began 'physically abusing him'."

Oh dear...

Hmmm...
Didn't Olga accuse U of flirting with B?

Oh well...

Does it mean one smack? In the US they seem to use spank even if it's only one smack, whereas in England it would be several. One smack isn't actually illegal in England. Just wondering why Sara would have been removed from Olga.
Yes doesn't add up. I don't condone smacking children as a means of correcting behaviour. It is scientifically proven in dozens of university case studies involving the outcomes of thousands of families as cruel, ineffective and infact worsens behaviour as it diminishes self esteem. But I can imagine, as a mom of two spirited young daughters myself, reacting strongly (albeit only verbally) against "flashing their bums to 15 year olds" to protect them against premature sexual advances. It would be my job as a mindful mother to do so. Perhaps, if Sara did this, Olga got a fright and overreacted physically. If the reason for the response was made known to authorities there would be leniency. JMO

Did he ever think of taking Sara with him through the window when running from his 'crazy wife'? Thought not.

Notice he recalls "she was twisting my hands..."
Poor Sara's fingers were broken. Perhaps she got the same treatment? JMO

More details from today:

On WhatsApps between Batool and her sister Qandeela about taking Sara out of school in June 2022,
Mr Mian said:
“The suggestion in the messages is that Sara has been beaten so badly you’ve suggested she be covered up with make-up, do you agree?”

Sharif replied:
“That’s what she’s saying.”

Mr Mian said:
“Are you able to help us with why Qandeela,
having heard Sara has been beaten up so badly,
would respond ‘LOL’ – laugh out loud –
‘it was going to happen you can tell’?

“Qandeela is the aunt of Sara.
Qandeela, according to these messages, knows that Sara has been beaten so badly that she’s bruised by you
and the response from Qandeela is
‘laugh out loud’.”

Mr Mian asked if Sharif knew why neither of the woman called police.

Sharif replied:
“They should have
if I was doing that.”

I see him as a fantasist.
A sick person.
Very sick.

about being attacked by women in his life
continue tomorrow?
Aaaargh!

Prosecution,
Please, do your Duty!

I hope his sob story doesn't get him off and what are urfans feelings and thoughts if the jury believe the story of Sara being murdered by her brother is he willing to see his son sentenced and sent to prison for murder ? Does urfan not know that the uk justice system will send children to prison .there is plenty of examples . James bulgers killers , Mary Bell and the more recent killers of brianna ghey

Sara Sharif’s stepmum was ‘possessed’,

court hears

Mr Sharif also told jurors that it was Ms Batool’s decision for Sara to be home schooled.

He said Sara informed him she was being bullied,
but he did not agree with Ms Batool’s decision to home school their daughter at first.

Naeem Mian KC, for Mr Sharif, previously told the court that Ms Batool was “the true villain”.

I don't think that it has yet been suggested by anyone that Sara's brother murdered her? Only that Batool told Sharif that Sara's brother was 'responsible'. No details of what was purported to have happened on the 8th of August have emerged so far, to the best of my knowledge.

He wanted to leave but did not, because he was hit on the head with a wooden lemon squeezer and later attacked with a broom?
He wanted an ambulance to be called for Sara but did not do so himself.
Defence???

This is one loathesome trio.

Lemon squeezer and broom attacks notwithstanding, my take is that all three abused S, over a period of years. The relative levels of abuse inflicted upon her may be relevant to punishment, but not to the simpler decision between guilty/ not guilty.

U had abused Olga. I have no doubt he also abused B. I have no doubt that S became a focus for his and her anger, and was abused, horrifically, by both of them and that having become the family scapegoat, was also abused by the uncle. In this ongoing violence, with likely ebbs and flows, S was the nexus for anger and abuse. She was not protected; she could not escape.

We've seen case after case like this, where a child who has done nothing wrong becomes the focus of a family's anger and tensions and is abused, literally, to death. Then the coverup, recriminations, protestations of innocence and/ or claims to have done less harm than Person X/Y/Z.

This case is specifically horrific but follows, IMO, this familiar pattern. All three are guilty and all three should be punished to the limits of the law. If U is jailed for longer, so be it. They conspired to murder S, and succeeded. Hoping never to hear from or about them again after sentencing. S should be the story we tell about this case. IMO, MOO, etc.

“He had texted Batool saying: “Both of you have made my life hell … Neither her nor you can be trusted. Both of you make life hell for people who love and care for you. I’m done with you now but it will be her turn if she does anything silly.”

Sharif told jurors the message referred to Batool and Sara. He said he had sent it because Sara was accused of being “naughty” and Batool was “abusive”.

He wept as he added: “I loved Beinash from the first day, and I loved Sara because she was my daughter, but always something was going on when they were together.”

From my favourite Dragon:

Tuesday, November 5

The Prosecution concluded its case today by showing additional text messages between Beinash Batool, Sara’s step mother, and her sister Qandeela S. not previously seen by the jury.

The messages detailed Urfan’s physical abuse of the children,
his insistence on Sara being
withdrawn from mainstream education,
and the stress this caused Beinash in June 2022
when she was nine months pregnant.

In the messages,
Beinash stated that she didn’t want to live in an abusive relationship
and accused her sisters of not supporting her when she needed their help.

In February 2022 she stated in a message that she had to act fast and choose whether to save the
relationship or leave it.

In February 2022
she stated in a message that she had to act fast and choose whether to save the
relationship or leave it.

Further agreed facts were also read out,
detailing that
Beinash Batool sought advice from solicitors in February 2022.

They advised her on non-molestation orders and Child Arrangement Orders.

In April 2022,
she emailed them asking what forms she needed to
obtain a court order for the children and stepchildren.

Wow
Isn't it interesting?
Oh my goodness...but that said she could have saved sara

The fact also the "aunt" wrote LOL after batool sent those messages about Sara..seriously questioning what type off people were around poor Sara..did she have anyone at all to give her any love.

Urfan Sharif allegedly messaged his wife Beinash Batool, 30, threatening her and his 10-year-old daughter, saying: 'I'm losing my calm. Both of you make hell of people who care and love you. I'm done with you and now it will be her turn if she does anything silly.'

But the 42-year-old claimed yesterday that he only intended to talk to Sara about her 'silly' behaviour when he sent the messages in February 2022, 18 months before she was killed.

The father broke down in tears today as he was asked whether he loved his daughter whom he is accused of murdering.

Sharif sobbed in the witness box: 'Yes I did, she was my daughter. I wanted to speak to her.'”

Does that sound to anyone else as if he has been 'punishing' Batool and is saying that he has finished doing so for now and will 'punish' Sara if she "does anything silly"?

Of course.
Let's not pretend to be idiots who don't see it as a threat.

Honestly,
I miss the Court sketches
with the faces of Prosecutors
during today's testimony of U.
And B's face.

Well,
I noticed that B's Defence KC, Ms C. is a veeeeeery astute woman.

I'm waiting for her turn to cross-examine U.
Waiting impatiently.

I don't think that. To me, it sounds as though he is saying he's had enough of Batool and that he's coming close to feeling that way about Sara.

If there was constant conflict between the two of them, as suggested, then this someone saying they are at the end of their tether. I do think Batool intensely disliked Sara and treated her extremely badly whenever she could. Just my opinion.

I don't think anyone would say 'it will be her turn' if that were the meaning. That's threatening action, not just suggesting feelings will change.

But likewise, if violence against Batool was usual, I can hardly see Sharif saying that 'he was done with her' meaning that there would be no further violence against her. To 'be done with someone' is quite a common phrase when meaning you've had enough or want nothing further to do with them.

If only people this toxic would go off each other sexually. I'd rather die than continue procreating with someone I feel is abusive. Bringing innocent lives into the cesspool. Even birds reject mating when their suitors behave strangely.
Just threw up a bit in my mouth thinking of it MOO

New info

S
ara Sharif’s father ‘cursed’ himself for leaving dead daughter ‘like orphan’.

Sara Sharif’s father has said he “cursed” himself for fleeing to Pakistan
and
abandoning his 10-year-old daughter’s body at home
“like an orphan”.

Defence barrister Naeem Mian KC asked:
“How would you describe your emotional state?”

Sharif said:
“I was cursing myself for abandoning my daughter like an orphan
and she has no-one else.”

As well as alerting police,
he also told members of Batool’s family that he was responsible for Sara’s death
and left a note by her body, jurors were told.

Mr Mian said:
“Are you responsible for Sara’s death?”

The defendant replied:
“No sir, I was not at home.”

Sharif said that he only made the various apparent confessions
“to protect my family”.

It seems like the end of cross-examination by his Defence
