tbh if anyone wants to give money to something in her memory giving it to a child abuse charity would be better to help other kids. Another option would be to send a toy to some charity for a child for Christmas in her name
I feel this is a nice alternative and there is loads of uk and polish charities that support children overcoming abuse and also those who support children living in poverty.

I do feel the original poster didn't mean any badness and just wanted to do something nice . The harrowing details of the case can leave an image of Sara being alone in life as well as in death and I suppose the suggestion of adding mementos to her resting place was an emotional response to wanting to show some form of love and care.

The information we are reading is focused on her life with the defendants a lonely and isolated existence and it is easy to forget she has a loving mother and other relatives who were deprived of a part in her life by animals. Sara's relatives are mourning and grieving and just want privacy to do that . So best to leave them be .This is the best way of showing we support them .

I understand Your point of view. Nobody wants to stop Sara's family from grieving. I think we all would only like to show respect for Sara.
Like Uk girl said “donate to a charity for children like Sara.” There are some amazing charities around.

Will the Jury be sent to deliberate on Monday?
We still have:
- agreed facts
- Judge's legal remarks
- closing speeches of all

PS
It is only 20 Nov. and the trial was supposed to end on 13 Dec.

There will be 4 lots of closing speeches, Prosecution and 3 defence, so not sure. The jury will go out once done, whenever that will be. And will need to discuss and decide wrt each defendant separately, so may be gone for some time.

No. Leave them be. It’s a place where we go to remember our children. It’s private. Can I ask how you’d feel if you were at your child’s grave and strangers rocked up and took over it with toys? It’s so distasteful and quite disturbing that anyone would suggest this. I reported the post to the mods if anyone wants to know!
thank you for your post. No, I cannot imagine your situation, my apologies if the flower suggestion caused you upset.

Yes Monday is my best estimate for Jury out.

Today with the 11am start ( as far as we know ) I think there will only be time for Judge's initial instructions and possibly part of the Prosecution Closing.
Thursday - AM - Prosecution finishes his speech.
Thursday PM - two Defence closings ( BB and FM ). I expect them to be fairly short, particularly FMs.
Friday - Closing speech for urfan. Judge begins his summing up

Monday - Judge finishes summing up and Jury out

eta: I think the December 13 date was based on each of the 3 defendants giving testimony. Their decision not to speak has obviously shortened the timeline.

I also think - if Jury are out on Monday - they will have a decision by the end of that week. Although I don't always get Jury timelines correct.

Excellent write up .

It is beyond believable how urfan got custody

I am sorry but for me its just an excuse. IF she had been abused then she knew how it felt. Why then abuse a young defenceless child? I do agree they should not have had custody though.

Sara Sharif begged her parents for forgiveness for “being rude”

In an undated and misspelled letter to Sharif and Batool shown to jurors on Wednesday, Sara wrote that she was “sorry for being rude” and “answering back”.

She concluded her note with: “Please forgive me I am so, so sorry.

Her notebook contained a short fairy tale story about a queen called “Beinash” and a princess “Sara”.

She also described Beinash as the “best caring and loving mother in the world

I know we've heard this evidence before but good to see the Jury being reminded of his history.
Just beyond belief that nothing was done, when there is a clear pattern here.

In December 2007, Sharif was arrested for false imprisonment, theft, criminal damage and common assault following allegations by 18-year-old Angelika.
In police interview, Sharif denied the allegations and suggested she assaulted him.

In March 2009, 31-year-old Anna made an allegation of false imprisonment and Sharif was arrested and interviewed again.

In November 2010, Sharif was suspected of assault following a complaint by Mrs Sharif’s mother who was concerned for her daughter. Mrs Sharif told police her husband had been violent in the home on more than one occasion, but Sharif claimed she had attacked him during an argument. He was bailed and Mrs Sharif withdrew the allegation.

In each case, no further action was taken by police against Sharif, jurors were told

Police totally ignored pattern of violence and denial and reversal of accusations. Makes my blood boil .

If they get sentenced for manslaughter I will loose all hope in the justice system particularly when children are murdered . Because if he intentionally hit Sara with weapons that can cause death surely his intention was to inflict the ultimate damage

A birthday message to Sharif stated:

“I love you so much.
Thank you for looking after us on the weekends.
And making food for us at the weekends.
THANK YOU DAD.
From Sara…"

“Our family is the best in town.
We spread love all around the world".

Poor, sweet child, desperate for love and trying to please him so he doesn't attack her.
