Police are appealing for help to trace a missing 46-year-old man from Great Yarmouth.

Scott Mayer was last seen at approximately 3pm on Sunday 26 December in the Martham area of Norfolk. His car was located at the North Beach car park on Links Road in Lowestoft the following morning.

Police are appealing for help to trace a missing 46-year-old man from Great Yarmouth.

Scott Mayer was last seen at approximately 3pm on Sunday 26 December in the Martham area of Norfolk. His car was located at the North Beach car park on Links Road in Lowestoft the following morning.

Scott is described as white, approximately 6ft tall, of proportionate build and bald with facial stubble. He wears glasses.

Officers are extremely concerned for Scott and are asking anyone who has seen him or who has any information on where he may be to contact Suffolk Police on 101.

The wife of a man who has been missing since Boxing Day says her family “is in pieces” and has urged people to keep looking for any signs to help bring him home.

Monday, December 27, Mr Mayer’s brother discovered his Mitsubishi truck on Links Road in Lowestoft, which was unlocked and had his wallet and coat inside.

Mr Mayers' mobile phone was also found on the beach.

I have a very sad feeling this may be Scott due to how close this is to where his car was found.

I think the initial circumstances indicated this was not going to have a good outcome: leaving vehicle, leaving wallet, phone discarded...

Police investigating the circumstances after the body of a man was found at Corton yesterday (Saturday 1 January) can confirm the death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services attended after reports that a body had been seen along the seafront at approximately 10.30am.

Subject to confirmation at formal inquest proceedings, the deceased has been identified as 46-year-old Scott Mayers from Great Yarmouth.
