True. He was only privately educated to 11 I believe. It was there, if we believe him, he was sexually abused. A teacher took him into an empty classroom & abused him..Apparently, he skipped school frequently after that, spending hours in the library only on what interested him personally.

I seem to recall that he had a couple of O levels, so not particularly "educated". (JMO). I feel he was able to a point to put on an air of an educated person by being well-spoken and seemingly articulate (until he gets caught out by his sedimentary period in Machoo Poochoo). Apparently he was a big reader (according to CBD I think) of stuff that particularly appealed to him, but unable to apply himself in other ways academically.

I remember watching a documentary about Peter Tobin and his wife(in the late 60's) and she said that he seemed capable of spotting potential victims as if they had that word tattooed on their head.

iam a big reader, but i come from a council estate.

But he never needed an alibi he was never charged, the cps saying no direct link between SJL and JC tells us all we need to know.Its likely JC took the secret of what befell SJL to his grave, but ,there's always a but, without that compelling piece of evidence there's a possibility its some one else.All opinion.

i think JC could be playing mind games with everyone. he wanted to be notorious in some way. to be infamous in british criminal history, so what does he do. he pretends to be mr kipper, the mystery killer who snatched SL in broad daylight, but in reality he did no such thing.

He might have that personality type, yes, but when, tense, panicked, stressed & seriously on the ropes he said to Barley, to paraphrase “Yes, I was at a car auction in Bristol without much cash & I have to say, I bought a damaged rusty mini with a defective driver’s door from the man who killed, SB & SL & another girl’.. He was a Bristol businessman..

So whilst, you’re right & he was grandiose with a huge ego, he was trying to do all he could to disassociate from SL when chips down. This points to probable guilt IMO.

I didn't realise JC used the phrase "another girl" in that interview. Do you think he is referring to SC here?
