So I'm looking at the latest headline, Kouri's boyfriend crying on the stand?!
This is like a bad soap opera, except an innocent man was killed.
I'll be glad when this is over and she's sent away.
I watched his testimony and felt he was genuine. She used him.

Just looking at some other sites...
LOL at this headline,
The Icy Death Stares of Kouri Richins.
Yep.
She's sinking herself.

She misled him, bread crumbled him. She told him she was getting a divorce... she never said she was contemplating murdering her husband.

She betrayed everyone she knew.

Might be the only thing she was successful at.

IMO, they are both grifters from way back. She saw to improve her status in life with ER and then brought on JG to take care of the love fantasy. I just cant get past the almost incestuous relationship in the R family . At what point is it marital money and marital possessions in a marriage?? I get that she stole but a wife of 9 years doesn;t even get what she is allowed by law in a normal divorce??? KatR gives her permission??? Does her strange husband CB ask her permission to spend her/their money. I think KoR is guilty but the arrangements she was living under while married and in that family would not go well with me, all JMO.
But the trust arrangement granting Katie PofA was instituted after Eric discovered that Kouri had been stealing money from him. If you'll recall Kouri had PofA and he switched it to Katie after he discovered the financial fraud and visited the divorce attorney. I think it's obvious that things shifted AFTER Kouri's duplicity was discovered. It's not clear to me what the dynamic was like with the Ritchin family PRIOR to that discovery.

Good morning! Day 9 (3/5/26) of the Kouri Richins trial gets underway at 9:30 AM from the Summit County Justice Center in Park City, Utah. No court scheduled for Friday (3/6/26).

Thanks for all the comments here on social media about the case; I appreciate you following along!

Side note: There have been some DEDICATED members of the public who’ve driven from far and wide to be in the courtroom. One drove all the way from Richfield, Utah on Wednesday; another multi-day court watcher has come from Tremonton, Utah each day.

Eric already owned the home when he married KR and they had a prenup. It was only after Eric learned that KR signed his name on a home equity loan (HELOC) for $250,000 without his knowledge or permission that he hired an estate attorney and set up a trust with his sister Katie listed as the trustee. As the estate planner mentioned, Eric no longer trusted KR to be financially responsible with their assets and he wanted to make sure his children would be financially secure if something were to happen to him. As far as the prenup goes… IIRC he was previously married and divorced and wanted the prenup to clearly lay things out if was ever faced with divorce again.

I wonder how he found out she took out the HELOC for $250K???

I thought it was the brother in law who discovered it due to his job in the county

But not really.... KR considered divorce. Decided it was not for her.

9:42 a.m. Chervenak asks to play a phone call and says the foundation has been laid through other witnesses. Lewis objects and says the call needs to come in through a witness. Judge asks attorneys to approach for sidebar.

9:40 a.m. Chervenak admits a check Kouri wrote Bramwell. No further questions. Defense attorney Wendy Lewis has questions and admits a section of Bramwell’s website showing her bio. Lewis has nothing further. Witness is excused.

KR and ER both independently decided divorce was not for them.

ER locked down his money, prudently.

KR locked down his life/death, callously.

Defense doesn't want these calls in.

Sidebar, recess for jury, Defense arguing......

They want to cross exam the other voice on the call.

Judge to the Defense: I feel like you are ignoring the admonition I'll be giving.

I adore this judge.

Kouri Richins, a Utah mother of three boys, is accused of fatally poisoning her husband, Eric Richins, in 2022. She is on trial in Summit County, Utah, on charges of aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder, insurance fraud and forgery.

Today is the ninth day of the trial. It is scheduled to begin today at 9:30 a.m. East Idaho News will be posting live written updates all day. Please excuse typos. You can watch the livestream here. The most recent updates are at the top of this page.

9:53 a.m. Judge says Lewis has the right to subpoena anyone in relation to the call. The judge says he can give jurors an instruction to discard the parts of the call that are hearsay. Lewis says she needs a moment to review the call.

9:50 a.m. Lewis says that introducing calls randomly without a witness on the stand violates Kouri’s Sixth Amendment rights because they can’t cross-examine the witness. Lewis insists the call needs to come in through a witness and there could be more context to call that the witness could explain.

9:48 a.m. Sidebar over. Judge says he needs to sort out some legal issues to make today flow smoothly. He excuses jurors. Judge asks Lewis about the call the prosecution wants to play. It’s a jail call. Lewis says these calls should be introduced through a witness and playing them randomly will be confusing for the jury.

@NateNewsNow

Prosecution is now playing the call without the audio so all parties can review the transcript of what is being said. We can't see the transcript.
