25m video from a year ago, Defense asking judge to grant bail.

Of note, DENIED.

Worth a listen for all the reasons.

Worth a look to see the defendant with her hair down, hiding behind her hair fort.

Wow seeing it all together like this made me realise how quickly it deteriorated, for some reason I thought it happened over a longer period of time. You can almost sense her mania for money.

A couple of questions I'm not sure if anyone can help with - what's with the search from Eric from Scottsdale to Nogales? Trying to understand the relevance to the case or if there is none and it was just work related?

Who do we think she messaged the gifs to? I assumed it was her boyfriend at first but then it didn't appear to be from the text exchanges/his reaction in court?

Her friend that seems to still be supportive of her is so questionable. I can maybe understand the blind faith and wanting to believe she's innocent regarding murdering her husband but what's not in any question is that she stole her other friends entire life savings and left her without a home, that alone would be enough for me to sever my friendship with her but that's JMO.
I don’t think the search on Eric’s phone about Scottsdale to Nogales has any significance other than to show that he was awake, texting work associates, and engaging on his phone in a typical manner until his activity abruptly stopped after his phone conversation with Scott around 10 pm. We know this because he received a text from Raul at 10:13 that was never read or opened. Based on the fact that medics believed Eric had been dead for hours, I’m guessing he probably died sometime between 10:00 and 10:13 pm.

Good point!! Because Carmen testified that when KR called and told her Eric was dead, she immediately said to KR… “please tell me those pills were not for him”. KR assured her they weren’t and said Eric died from an aneurysm.

The fact that Carmen immediately put the pieces together probably spooked KR, so she asked for more pills to seem less suspicious.

KR told Carmen Eric was dead on March 6 and more pills were purchased for KR on March 9. This theory actually makes the most sense to me. Good thinking!
I think you have it figured out! Kouri may have wanted to create the illusion that her drug addict friend needed more illegal drugs while Kouri was allegedly grieving for her dead husband.

Realistically, anyone who is genuinely grieving the death of a family member, and who is caring for devastated children, would not be arranging illegal drug purchases for a "friend" days after the unexpected death.

Big miscalculation if that's what Kouri was thinking.

I think it's also a possibility that Kouri wanted to leave illegal drugs in Eric's pockets and vehicle to mislead investigators.

One correction for your timeline, the phone call with Scott was from 8:50pm till 8:59pm. The 9:45pm google search is his last phone activity.

I missed this yesterday but something I saw online -

in one of RG’s tests, he talks about eating a hush puppy and then passing out for like 11 hrs.

Wonder where he got the hush puppy 👀👀👀👀
Ive been meaning to ask, what is a hush puppy.

Nope not American, Im Canadian and a hush puppy here was a brand of shoes .
So hush puppies are fritters.
Do you think Kouri bought them for him? Wasn’t that early morning had he even seen her that day? Or the night before?

Thanks for recommending this. The judge is very persuasive, in my opinion, that KR would be both a flight risk, and possibly a risk to herself and others if released on bail.

I watched the Hidden True Crimes recap of Trial Day 9 and heard the account KR wrote about her life growing up. As someone who also came from a massively dysfunctional family of origin, I felt a certain amount of sympathy for KR that I had not felt before. But I felt even more sympathy for the oldest sibling who escaped the family as soon as she could after becoming adult. KR seems to have tried to become her parents instead, which is very sad.

As far as the amount of time she has spent in jail, has anyone seen any speculation about why her former attorneys found that they could not continue to represent her? I wonder if KR said something that made the attorneys feel that they could not, in conscience, continue to represent her.

Here is another excellent time line of the events starting with the marriage of KR and ER, including the legal maneuverings concerning the trust. I had not realized that KR is alleged to have started having money problems in 2015-2017, only a few years after KR and ER were married.

sorry if this has already been addressed, but do we know why she was buying more pills after Eric was dead? ...or have any theories?

because my gut reaction to that is to wonder who else she was planning to kill
Do we know what the life insurance money was spent on?

This is the problem with the state's case so far. They have not connected fentanyl with Kouri. They do have the dealer's comments during his interrogation that was shown in court that he sold fentanyl, but he later recanted on the stand, saying he only sold ocycodone. They need to introduce evidence/testimony that M30's were often mixed with fentanyl too.

But they have directly connected KR to fentanyl through Carmen's testimony, and her testimony is strongly corroborated by the phone data. The phone data leaves zero doubt that CL bought drugs from RC three separate times and that KR asked CL to get those drugs for her those 3 times. The first buy was a few days before the 2/14 sandwich incident, the second time was a few days before Eric's death, and the last time was a few days after his death. I can't see any doubt myself. What am I missing? It would be an incredible coincidence that ER died from fentanyl and the fentanyl didn't come from the RC drug deal, since there is no other known plausible source.
