Yes, this expert witness might be thorough, but I like it as I'm learning a lot of new things. Also, I think it's very necessary that he does it.

The thing that puzzles me is that Alexis spoke with her mother that fatal morning at 8:41AM, her mother was in good spirits and up and running. If her mother had been doped she would have recognized.

MM's whereabouts from 8:30-9:30AM that morning is unknown. I think he was at home, doing something.

From work that day he called Michele and left a message on her phone (Daughter Vanessa heard this message as she was using her mothers phone after the death):

Was he scared Michele had "awakened"?
Is a lovely lunch the same as a deadly cocktail?
I think this message is a response to something that happened during the one hour MM is not accounted for.

The same afternoon MM attended a fair acting so bad that another employee filed a complaint. MM insisted on having his picture taken to show he was there.....

Been wondering about that, too. I guess it came from her face after the surgery.

Yeah, and why wouldn't he want her to call anyone? Can't talk on the phone on meds??

Just letting everyone know HLN did not show toxicology guy. Instead they are gearing up viewers (sadly me) to watch them because of gypsy

I know I'm going to hate this cross examination

I think this is the crux of the case when it comes to the meds - no one would do this. Martin specifically asked for all these meds, and even though it made the plastic surgeon uncomfortable, he said he went ahead and prescribed them, assuming since Martin was a doc, he would not be administering them all in conjuction with one another, but rather alternating them in some way. But, of course, Martin had every intention of using them all concurrently.

In the affidavit it says daughters Alexis and Rachel was very surprised to see their father suddenly studying a pharmaceutical book that had dusted down for years. This was just prior to Michele having her surgery....

Back on the record.

I think the Jurors can connect the dots. Eventually. There is a time period which Marty's whereabouts are not accounted for. IMO he drugged Michele. Came home from the Safety Fair. Put her in the tub and shoved her face under the water. Staged it from there.

Didn't MacNeill say that he had to pick up daughter, Ada, from school. Didn't he tell someone that he was taking Ada to McDonald's afterwards?

I think Michele was heavily drugged when he left to get his picture taken at the awards ceremony. He went home found her still alive and drowned Michele in the bathtub and then left to pick up Ada at school. I thought I read or heard that he was late picking Ada up. I bet there was no stop at McDonalds.

What time did Ada get out of school?

Oh, he could have suffocated her and then put her in the bathtub to make it look like an accidental drowning? Somehow she got all of those drugs in her that morning, and somehow her death was accomplished without any signs of a fight on Martin or Michele.

I don't think she would have that large amount of water in her lungs if she didn't inhale water and therefore drowned.

If this cross and redirect of the doctor takes very long, I doubt we will see sweet cheeks today....unless judge continues court after 3pm mst.

K+ level was 7.7... is that what he said?

11 or 11:30 I forget which.

So Martin gets his award at 11:15, and to give him the benefit of doubt here, let's say Ada gets out of school at 11:30 and he stops to make sure that someone took a picture of him being there to create an alibi?

Yeah, you're right. So no pre-suffocation.

Oxycontin now has properties causing it to be very difficult/near impossible to chew or crush. Also, she wasn't on oxycontin but oxycodone.

Interesting. Do you know if any of the other drugs might be able to enhance potency by crushing the tablets? I read that addicts do crush the pills for an increased "high", but that could be old info.

My understanding of Oxycontin vs Oxycodone is that one is time-release and the other is not and, according to info I read, Oxycontin is often called Oxycodone-Extended-Release.

If you crush them and take the pills, they act faster on your system.
