It's sad to me. She knew he was having an affair, maybe she thought if she looked younger it would make a difference to him and he'd stop. Most women are aware that they are starting to look older and are sensitive enough about it, I would be devastated if my husband told me to get a face lift. It would crush my soul. I can't imagine how it made her feel.

I think he had beaten her down so much mentally that she couldn't do much to stand up for herself.

With Alexis' testimony today that Michele demanded Martin give her his new password to check his records, I think that Martin had failed in beating Michele down. I think that Michele was a lot stronger than Martin gave her credit for and Alexis is proof of that to me. Michele knew the phone numbers were odd, asked Alexis to investigate for her, confronted Martin with the affair. IMO that is one of the main reasons why Martin felt he had to kill Michele. He knew that she was strong enough to divorce him and spill his dirty little secrets in a divorce for all to see.

Someone help me remember, was the basement renovation done before Michele had her surgery? If so, how long before?

No sure how long before Michele's surgery. But Marty seemed in a hurry to get the project done.

Seems he may have "planned" so that Gypsy would have her own space?

Do we know if Dr. Scott Thompson (Plastic Surgeon) is on the witness list?

Could this also be a reason for the hospital bed, in addition to needing head elevated post-op? Is 8 hrs in surgery a rather long time for a face lift?

The hospital bed would be a luxury, not a necessity. Pillows and a "wedge" would do the same thing. As far as 8 hours for a face lift being a long time my response is yes and no. If the 8 hour time is under anesthesia, I would say yes that is a long time for a patient to be under. Face lift times can vary according to what is being done. It sounds like Michelle had her eyes done as well, which would also increase OR time. Typically, when patients are taken back to the OR, there is prep that is done. The surgeon will draw his markings on the face, the OR team makes sure they have all the equipment they need, etc. An 8 hour case also depends on the speed and skill of the surgeon.

Alexis testified that her mom was susceptible to the sedative effects of medication. The anesthesiologist may have had difficulty "waking" Michelle up, and it may have taken some time to get her light enough to go to the Recovery Room. One would have to look at the OR record to see what time the surgery actually started I.e. time of first incision. JMO :seeya:

I thought one of the most compelling parts of Alexis' testimony was when she described how her mother told her that her father was continuing to give her pill after pill. Even when she felt sick to her stomach, Alexis testified that her mother told her that Martin continued to give her more and more.

I believe it was Rachel who testified that her father was hauling up sheet rock without any help, charging up and down stairs. This was to fix up the basement, after Michele was dead and just before the nanny showed up. This testimony was important because it showed that MacNeill and his terminal toe were perfectly able to haul up sheet rock but unable to get his wife out of a bath tub.

That is my concern. How long before the surgery did Martin have this plan for Michele to "accidentally" die? How long before the surgery did Martin plan on moving Gypsy in the house as the "nanny" after Michele's death?

Poor Alexis.... She seems to be the only bio kid that escaped the "crazy" gene from Marty

But Noelle's last name is MacNeill???

Very confusing even after the testimonies!!

I know right?!?

Giselle is on the witness list though, Noelle isn't. So maybe when we see Giselle we will know for sure!!

Honestly I am surprised that Michele even agreed to have the facelift. She knew about Gypsy a month before her death and more than likely suspected an affair before then.

Since we are not privy to all of Michelle's and MM's conversations, maybe he told her she was showing her age, even though she definitely was not. I can see him manipulating her that way. Maybe she thought a more youthful appearance would curb her husbands straying. Him being desperate for her to get that facelift sooner than later would raise some suspicions if it were me.

For those that didn't know, the prosecutor mentioned last week, that Alexis just gave birth to twins the prior week. She looks awesome for just having twins!

She also did an awesome job on the stand! She is one strong woman! Lots on her plate!

How long is this lunch break?

There was a big moment for me today during Alexis' testimony when she said that she called Michele the morning of her death and that Michele was going to take the girls to school and pick them up herself. I hope the jury caught that. Martin claimed to his co-workers that he had to have the award given to him at 11 or shortly there after because he had to go pick Ada up from school. This contradicts what Michele herself had planned.

Could be MM wanted Michele home the same day as surgery was done and was mad that Michele wanted to stay because MM knew enough about prolonged anesthesia and the risks. Some anesthesia can be reversed with IV medication and this is given in the OR at the end of a case. Even though some anesthesia can be reversed with medication, the anesthetic generally has a longer half life than the reversal drug, so a person can be re-anesthetized and this increases the potential for death. With an 8 hour surgery, an overnight stay would be in order. I don't believe the surgeon was discharging Michele home the same day, I think MM was pushing for her discharge, thus the call to the plastic surgeon. (If the surgeon had written orders for discharge same day as surgery, there would have been no need for MM to call him. Just rationalizing the situation based on my background.

It appears, by looking at all of the papers on the witness stand, that the defense is going to try and impeach Alexis.
