I honestly don't see a connection to Amy's case. Different cruise ship. Different route. Different circumstances.
To get a perspective of what percentage of mysterious disappearances on a cruise ship versus the number of people who take cruises each year, I looked up the statistics.
These are 2010 figures. In 2010, 14 million people took a cruise. If we estimate the same amount of people each year then in a decade there would have been 140 million people.

The article posted by JamieSommers quoted 171 mysterious disappearances in a decade that equals to .00012% (if my math is correct).
I understand how detrimental it is for a family member to lose a loved one under suspicious circumstances and also when they're left with more questions than answers but we need to put things in perspective as well.
It appears to me that cruises are one heck of a lot safer than walking down streets in some major cities in North America.
Again, I don't see a connection between Rebecca's and Amy's case but if someone can point me to perhaps a link to where there may have been a crew member or band member on that same ship then we may have something to work with.
Until then, I think these are separate sad circumstances without a connection whatsoever.
Do I believe crimes happen on crusies? Absolutely. Do I believe they cover up some of these crimes? Absolutely.
This is a 40 billion dollar industry a year.
Where is Amy and what happened to her? IMO, someone has the answer but for whatever reason, they are untouchable.
