If she doesn't know anything she should shut up. Simple.
If she cared about her nephew, she would say that she cares about him...yet she doesn't. She is an enabler.
Agree to disagree. Supporting her brother at this point doesn't mean she doesn't also care about her nephew.

I know this has been discussed a lot.

I just don't see this happening. A lot of times even when a person isn't in custody, they will let them know their rights just to CYA.

His family hiring an attorney for him doesn't count as him asking for an attorney, he's a grown man. He would have had to ask for one himself. I'm pretty sure that LE has made sure to cross their T's and dot their i's. moo.
Between what I've seen in the past down here with HPD and the way this guy has apparently conducted himself, I'm just going to sit back and watch.

Thank you.

I just can't imagine the FBI and the entire investigation team denying his rights. Someone, somewhere would have leaked this.

Moo...

The search for #CodiBigsby heads into its second week. Posters of Codi’s face are on storefront doors, flyers have been passed out and many are still searching for the missing boy. #13Daybreakers [URL='https://twitter.com/13NewsNow']@13NewsNow

One week since Codi Bigsby, 4YO, was reported missing. Over the weekend, volunteers searched the woods near Codi’s house. Another group held a candlelight prayer. His dad, Cory, is expected in court Tuesday for a bond hearing. He is facing 7 counts of child neglect.

Last night, community members held a candlelight prayer, leaving behind candles, signs and balloons. This morning, residents are still dropping off items for Codi.

If she doesn't know anything, what exactly is she supposed to say? She believes in her brother at this point, apparently.
Silence is golden sometimes.

Cory has been arraigned and has a bond hearing set for Tuesday, February 8 at 10 a.m.
(just wanted this reminder here for myself so I can check tomorrow for news)

That's a true statement, but the larger point is the way she is voicing her support. We have no idea what evidence LE has discovered at this point. But whatever it is leads them to strongly believe Codi did not leave on his own at 2AM, nor did any third party remove him.

When I think of 2 yr old twins being left alone with a 4 and 5 yr old to 'supervise them' ---I shudder to think about what could have happened. Four boys that young and vulnerable, left alone can be very hazardous.

I remember when my 5 yr old and his friend were making peanut butter sandwiches for themselves, while I was on an important phone call. I was just steps from the kitchen and could hear them talking and laughing---what could go wrong?

A moment later the friend walks out of the kitchen with a weird look on his face, so I ask is everything OK and he shrugs but winces---then I smell SMOKE---I run in the kitchen and the toaster IS ON FIRE and my son is about to cover it with a dish towel!

They had the brilliant idea to put rice cakes in the toaster and it went sideways really fast....which is why 5 yr olds cannot be left alone to care for younger siblings.

It would not surprise me if he left all 4 kids alone one night and something very surprising and unfortunate happened to Codi. :(
this is all true. but traumatized kids are a little bit different. i suspect this may be the case here.

Yes, I can see that. Traumatised kids are likely more 'adult' like and could care for themselves because they are used to it?

yes they know they will "get in trouble" for this or that but not why.

Yes, the neighborhood family that used to lock their kids outside----when those kids played at our house they were 'excellent' guests---never caused trouble, were quiet and sat still and did very little. Kind of sad really...:(

First off it is sad to think of a 5 year old becoming "adult like" due to trauma. What are the chances that it was an occasional thing that they were left alone? Did dad only admit to some or was this something that was done regularly? JMO

Does anyone know if court is on zoom or anything yet

I was looking at a timeline of events for Codi's disappearance. If the FBI is correct in their investigation that he was possibly missing before his dad called the police, I wonder what made him finally call. I'm on the fence. I don't think he wandered out of the house but I guess I'm not completely convinced dad harmed him either. I think I'm leaning more towards an accident happening when the kids were left alone. JMO

HAMPTON, Va. - It's day seven in the search for 4-year-old Codi Bigsby, and Hampton Police officers walked in and out of the apartment belonging to Codi's father, Cory Bigsby, at the Buckroe Pointe Apartments, holding brown paper evidence bags.

Police say they are focusing on evidence and any intelligence they gather to further the investigation rather than large scale search efforts around the boy's home.
